The best way to stop Shamnesty [Vanity]
5/19/2007

Do you want to stop shamnesty dead in its tracks?

Don't let up on Congressmen and Senators, one bit.

But, aim additional political fire at GOP and Democrat party officials, at every level.

Precinct chairmen, County Chairmen, State Central Committee members, State Chairmen and Co-Chairmen, your state's Republican National Committee members, the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and the National Republican Congressional Committee. Repeat with the Democrats as needed.

A simple google search will give you the email addresses, fax numbers, and telephone numbers of all of these movers and shakers.

You may not have access to our elected officials, but they do.

This is how HillaryCare was stopped, even though the Clintons had a Democrat House and Senate, and all the "experts" thought that there was no way to stop them.

I called every republican senator and left a terse message. I stated that if this bill passes I would NEVER vote republican again and vote third party, Constitution party. I’ve been saying for the past couple of years that this two party system is not listening to the American public. I wonder how all the Bush lic*ers feel about GW now? GW has sold us out for his proposed “North American Alliance”. Americans will be the big losers.

May I suggest contacting them in this order:

phone calls

Faxes

e-mail

Phone calls are much, much more effective than anything else. One phone call is worth 20 faxes or at least 100 e-mails.

Pressure the Democrats too.

My two Senators are Kohl and Feingold, but they've been hearing it from Wisconsinites too. Keep the phone calls & letters going. Write traditional letters instead of emails.

Exactly, that's as much as I said in my thread. Don't just call washington. Call the locals as well. Multiply the impact.

CALL! CALL! CALL! CALL! AND KEEP CALLING TILL THE LINES FRY!

WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! TILL YOU RUN OUT OF INK IN YOUR PEN!

STOP AMNESTY NOW!! WE CAN DO IT!!

Bombard the Democrats as well, especially the ones that ran on an anti immigration plank and the ones in marginal districts who could be vulnerable. keep pounding on them.

“Write traditional letters instead of emails.”

It’s really too late for letters, unless you Fax them, or send them express mail (not priority mail).

It amazes me that these pols so consistently misread what the majority of the public really wants. Then they mis-state what we want, then they act based on what they want.

Paging conservative billionares with a God complex. Please run as a third party candidate in 2008. As the republican presidential field stands now, Hillary wins. and I think easily. Ohio, Missouri, Virgina, Montana went commie blue in 2004. It’ll happen again in ‘08, unless a real conservative, well-funded, gets on the attack.

"This bill will be a Hillary Perot vote."

Exactly right.

We might as well get used to the idea now, and go shoot ourselves.

Shamnesty must come from the great state of Massizona, just like that presidential candidate, Senator Edward John McCainedy. You know him, he’s the guy who wants to give shamnesty to over 12 million fugitives.

"You may not have access to our elected officials, but they do"

I think that's a good idea. The pols are used to the heat and mostly disregard it. Those in the support structure are not.

When I have a complaint with a company rather than opt for the Director of Complaints' voice mail I let his secretary have it. He listens to the complaint line every day, it's like water off a ducks back to him. But the director will pay much attention to his distraught admin.

They illegals are here and we the American people want them gone. Maybe we shouldn't be putting so much energy into a government solution.

If we don't want them here then make them uncomfortable here. When is the last time you told someone sternly to speak English? Have you asked the laborers toiling around your home if they are legal?

As usual it's up to the American people and so far all we've been doing (save for activists like the Minute Men) is begging politicians. politicians.

CALL! CALL! CALL! CALL! AND KEEP CALLING TILL THE LINES FRY!

I just got off the phone with the state Republican party looking for a donation. Nice, polite young lady...I was civil too, but I must admit my outrage at this treasonous bill and my refusal to give any support to the party because of it, was made quite clear to her. I feel sorry for the young volunteers who must be feeling the wrath of many previously consistent Republican supporters.

Where is the black leadership in all this?

Do blacks not realize that, demographically speaking, this deal will eventually force them to become race #3, behind Hispanics? That they will be undercut from now on for low-paying, blue-collar jobs by this new “instant minority”?

Blacks - and their so-called leaders - should be storming the offices of every Democrat for this monumental sellout! They loyally vote Dem every election for this??!

Thanks for the link. We need to apply pressure constantly until this thing is defeated. Call now, and tomorrow, and tomorrow. If we let up, they will think the anger was just a flash in the pan. They need to know that this is a make or break moment for the Republican party.

Good points.

There are some black leaders who have actually led on this issue. Alan Keyes for one. Also, a large percentage of the Los Angeles-area Minutemen are black, Asian, and Hispanic.
