I hope I am not violating any ettiquette by bringing news/debate into the canteen.

But since y’all support the troops I wanted to bring this thread to your attention.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1835543/posts

This is about a U.S. Army Sergent who after being handcuffed, was behaving politely but was then severely beaten and repeated tazed at the Las Vegas airport. The coverup appears to already be underway as the police have already released a statement that the officers did not break the rules.

There is a lot of detail, video, cell phone audio and witnesses but here is the key transcript

>>Sergent England: Sir, what did I do to deserve handcuffs?

Metro Officer: Well, it’s law enforcement’s view you used foul language and because we want to. I told you to give me your boarding pass.

Sergent England: I tried to give you my boarding pass, sir.

Metro Officer: You tried to be a jerk.

Beating begins.<<

In post #90 I have set up a web site called http://www.boycottlasvegas.com to try to bring pressure get the situation reexamined and appropriate action taken - but its a terrible web site right now.

I’m looking for web site help since I am incompetent. I do not want an anti-police site. Cops are a key backbone of American society. But rogue cops who beat helpless people and those who cover up for them do us all harm.

Again, I apologize if this is not the right place to post. I only have a few posts over the years in the canteen and am not really sure of the limits.

Good morning, beachy...((HUGS))...I thought we might get rain yesterday, as the skies were pretty low, and it looked like it might happen. We seem to be having a little rain in this part of town, and a little rain in that part of town, and a little rain over there......just not at my house. LOL!! Lawns are greening up and all remnants of snow seem to be gone.

Looking forward to a relatively quiet weekend. Need to work on making some lists that function well and do what I want them to do.

Have a wonderful weekend, and more so if you are able to leave early. d:o)

Sounds like a really neat parade.

I like the idea of an evening parade.

Hiya, Ma.
I think the rain you're suppose to get is being pushed down this way. It's still looking yucky down here.
Gonna run an errand in a few minutes and then head home from there.
