May God Bless and thank you Rev. FalwellI wish to thank you for your courageous, unselfish, and unyielding, life of service, to all of us, not only those of faith, but from an entire nation.. Your leadership and moral guidance through times of tumult and tragedy has raised the bar, and served as an example to all men of good will.. Your sage advice will be surely missed, and your faith in God and your fellow man has left us all in your benevolent debt..

Personally, I don’t this the lame-stream media will even understand this poll — nor will they want to.
Thank you Jerry Falwell for standing for truth and for not being afraid of getting labeled a fool for Christ’s sake. You did more good than most of us will in our lifetimes.
Yep.
Yes, a dedicated man of God, now resting in his reward.
He was consistent in his faith, in a time when few men are consistent about anything.
Without Jerry Falwell motivating the religious right in 1979-1980, we might have had another four years of that idiot Carter.
Makes one realize how one man can make a difference.
People can qualify their thoughts about Rev. Falwell any way they wish, but not me.
He loved God and America, and served both admirably.
I just want to say here that I went to DU and read some of the hate filled post that are coming out of there..It made me so angry..what I did was copy the link to DU where they are saying hateful things about a man of God and sent that link along to friends and family and ask them to pass it on..I wanted to show people how horrible these animals are.and also said think twice before voting anyone like this into office..When this trash is out there teaching our children there is no wonder we have so much evil stuff going on in the world..Sorry I just think everyone should know what these animals are really like..
RIP Rev. Falwell. You were a good Christian man who loved the US, and was a loyal servant to our lord. The Christ haters never shook you and you stood strong against the tide of leftism. God bless you and your family good sir.
come on now, thats pretty lame.. and not really doing anything to further your debate..
I was very saddened to hear of his passing. I hope he did not suffer or feel alone in his last moments. He did some good things for this country, and for that I respect him.
Remember Charlesto Heston as Moses
putting a brick on the scales after Yul Brenner as Jr Pharoah had rattled off a list of negatives?
Christ has already put a pile of bricks on the plus side for Jerry F . . . starting with Christ’s own Blood.
That’s just the facts.
But anyone can choose to stand on the side of the accuser of the bretheren if they prefer to stand that close to satan and his priorities.
I wonder where we could find a list of your most horrid sins in thought and deed, to publish far and wide. Then we could take a poll and see how many thought you should be labeled a CHRISTIAN.
Nice sentiment on “MY THOUGHTS AND DEEDS”, but I am not making millions of dollars from my “faith”, nor am I seeking publicity, etc.........................
Guess I missed the Scripture requiring all Christians to take vows of poverty.
Last I recall, David and Solomon had a few pennies, too.
BTW, I thought forgiveness was a hallmark of Christianity.
And, where is this “Christian” university that gives out so many PhD’s in rock throwing?
A fitting obituary for Jerry Falwell. A man who accomplished more in his life than most of us can come close to. A man of God for whom ‘Onward Christian Soldiers’ was a personal directive. His presence and influence will be missed.
I attended Liberty University in the late 1980’s.
Dr. Falwell had a spiritual gift of exhortation. He always lifted me up and encouraged all of us. He told us we were “champions”. A cynical heart wouldn’t appreciate that, but at the time I think being encouraged to do my best was beneficial. He used to say “Your attitude and your aptitude will determine your altitude.”
We were having technical probems on campus and the power would go out from time to time. He encouraged us not to use that as an excuse to sleep in, but rather to set our alarms and turn the lights on so that when the power did come back on, we’d be ready. He was always ready with practical advice to encourage us to do our very best.
Condolences to Reverend Jerry Falwells family and friends. A great man. One of Americas finest.
“What are you people talking about? He made millions of personal dollars from his so called good deeds charities (Church and University). He was FOR Apartheid, his church was idicted and charged with FRAUD and DECEIT. Where are the missing 6.5 million dollars in bonds? He SUPPORTED racial segregation during the Civil Rights Movement. He completed a hostile takeover of scumbags Jim Bakers PTL because it was a cash cow. He made all Christians look like fat, slimy, rednecks to the world. Yeah, very Christ like.”
So do you have some verifiable facts yet or did you slither off somewhere?
You can say THAT again!!!
Jesus said He came to offer forgiveness. I guess you dont need any since you are obviously perfect.
Billy Graham is the chief servant of Satan in America- Jerry Falwell
If you’re not a born-again Christian, you’re a failure as a human being
