May God Bless and thank you Rev. FalwellI wish to thank you for your courageous, unselfish, and unyielding, life of service, to all of us, not only those of faith, but from an entire nation.. Your leadership and moral guidance through times of tumult and tragedy has raised the bar, and served as an example to all men of good will.. Your sage advice will be surely missed, and your faith in God and your fellow man has left us all in your benevolent debt..
With Rev. Falwell there would not have been a President Reagan. For this alone we are all in his debt..
You’re a good man Carlo...
Prayers for Rev. Falwell and his family.
Rest in peace, Rev. Falwell. You’ll be missed.
1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
Rev. Falwell could care less what anybody says about him except Jesus.
Thanks for posting this, Carlo.
Rev. Falwell was a fine man!
Amen.
Rest in Peace, Reverend Falwell.
Thanks for the hard work and faithful service to your fellow man.
Thank you, Rev. Falwell, thank you, Ronnie and dittos, Carlo.
What are you people talking about? He made millions of personal dollars from his so called “good deeds” charities (Church and University). He was FOR Apartheid, his church was idicted and charged with FRAUD and DECEIT. Where are the missing 6.5 million dollars in bonds? He SUPPORTED racial segregation during the Civil Rights Movement. He completed a hostile takeover of scumbag’s Jim Baker’s PTL because it was a cash cow. He made all Christians look like fat, slimy, rednecks to the world. Yeah, very Christ like.
Please don’t be “creative” and call me a hater either. I don’t hate him, but he was no Christ and he was a questionable representative of Christ at best. These are called the facts.
Sounds like projection to me. Who's the greater bigot? The one who might have made some missteps during his ministry or the one who perceives "all Christians look like fat, slimy rednecks"?
Take the log out of your own eye first, Jillicrite.
Still can’t dispute the facts though, can you?
I can’t help but note the anger with which you dance on this man’s grave.
Do you have verifiable third-party links for all your assertions?
Though not perfect, Rev. Falwell of Virinia was certainly not “Rev.” Fred Phelps of Kansas.
Have you ranted about HIM?
I’ll check back tomorrow.
Don’t care to. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a plagerist and adulterer. These, too, are facts. They still named a national holiday in his honor.
Jesus, Himself, had many detractors, some considering Him a lawbreaker worthy of the death penalty. Does that then invalidate Christianity? Jesus said He came to offer forgiveness. I guess you don’t need any since you are obviously perfect.
I always liked Jerry Falwell. Never said a mean thing about anyone. And stuck to his principles. And created a college that has 25,000 students attending it, learning to be moral and upright future citizens. And he gave a forum to the Christian movement in politics where one didn’t exist before. RIP, Reverand Falwell, and job well done.
“Still cant dispute the facts though, can you?”
The “facts” as you choose to interpret them. Proof please. And not just opinions, actually proof. Plus, you go out and create a college w/25,000 students, rather than attacking from the periphery. There are those that do, and those that don’t. Methinks you are in the second category. Save your sniping for a time when someone hasn’t just died.
