LEFT LANE DRIVERS of AMERICA
If youre not a Left Lane Driver then get out of the Left Lane!
Traffic has become increasingly congested and tempers flare as slower drivers occupy what has been historically referred to as the fast lane. Its time to get that Left Lane back! It is our considered opinion that not only will traffic move more smoothly and more quickly once the Left Lane is used in the way it has been designed but also headaches, frustration, bad tempers and road rage will all be greatly reduced when this pressure valve is released. Its time to reduce this unnecessary stress. Its time that LEFT LANE DRIVERS UNITE!
We invite you to join Left Lane Drivers of America, a growing, grassroots effort to reclaim the Left Lanes on our freeways and multiple lane highways. To do this, those of us who are genuine Left Lane drivers are politely but firmly reminding others what the Left Lane is for.

I saw one at the Detroit auto show. It's in pre-production testing. Rumor has it that it will be illegal in California, Mass, and New York. Test market studies will begin in Texas this Summer.
Speed limits are arbitrarily designed limits created exclusively to line the pockets of local police departments.

Your time is your life. You can't bottle it and keep it in the kitchen cupboard.
I don’t even have to drive over the speed limit to run into the inconsiderate left side drivers talking on cell phones or site seeing. I don’t care if it’s 10 seconds.....it’s MY 10 seconds being determined by some selfish person.
Well, yes, those people are exceptionally narcissistic.
Then explain how the Eisenhower system was designed with the spec of a then-current car with then-current tech to be able to transit the entire system at *100* mph safely.
Yes, there are times when I’m passing pretty much everyone on the road and can’t get back into the main “driving lanes” because everybody there is going too slow.
Drive from San Antonio to El Paso sometime at 55 and let us know if you don’t want to pull over and off yourself somewhere between Sonora and Fort Stockton :-)

Do you not live when you are getting from here to there?
Not many can afford such a beautiful classic. And not many cars have that level of performance.
Well, considering that most cars running around today are medium to large displacement six cylinders, I’d say my XJ6 with it’s six cylinder is a lot closer than your V8.
I should also mention that Jags aren’t the only thing I drive. I currently have a faithless Jeep and recently sold off my Nissan 300ZX - a 3L V6 car. So I have recent experience with “normal cars” too.
So, what was that you were saying again?
Hell, that’s what they make planes for, girl.
I saw someone who had that kind of attitude run an F-250 off the road last week.
She then got mad when he swerved at her in retaliation, and gunned it.
Ever see what a Saturn looks like when it hits an F-250 bumper? One little card totaled and a big truck that you couldn’t tell had been in an accident.
Road rage is not a good idea, even when you are mad with good reason.
“The left lane isn’t your personal speeding lane.”
I agree. The arrogance of these people who think it’s their “right” to violate speed limits (and are often the ones who cause accidents) is pretty nauseating.
If you have no where to move to, (lanes clogged to the front and the sides), I can understand your reaction.
However, if there is room to safely move over, why not?
If you were doing 80 - 85 on I280 and came upon someone going 70 -75 in the same lane, you would want them to move over for you, wouldn't you?
Why?
I get out of the lane. I do that on the highway even when I am not in the left lane. Of course, I am a quick driver, and don't automatically think all drivers going faster than me are lunatics.
How, exactly, do you propose to ship something like, oh, a refrigerator or engine from SA to El Paso by air for the same amount or less than you can drive it between the two points?
SonicAir will *only* charge you about $2000 to ship it between those two points.
I think that was a special rate for former race car drivers.
