Well, considering that most cars running around today are medium to large displacement six cylinders, I’d say my XJ6 with it’s six cylinder is a lot closer than your V8.

I should also mention that Jags aren’t the only thing I drive. I currently have a faithless Jeep and recently sold off my Nissan 300ZX - a 3L V6 car. So I have recent experience with “normal cars” too.

So, what was that you were saying again?

Perhaps where you live. Where I live most vehicles I share the road with are big block V8’s (such as trucks - no not the toy ones - Suburbans, Escalades, Navigators, etc. etc. etc.). Seems most people around here are interested in safety versus economy (though it’s not safe to be in a compact car in this part of the country).
