I was never a fan of Falwell, but he did some praiseworthy missionary work during his life. RIP

If that is true, it speaks to Jerry’s graciousness and goodness....not Larry Flynt’s.

“But I KNOW the level of hatred for the Clintons in this forum. You may not see the vulgarity in terms of language, but you would see graphics of popping champagne. You could bet on it.”

I am relatively new here, but if I ever see champagne bottle graphics here upon someone else’s demise, I will leave permanently. This forum and Jim R deserve much more respect than that. Thanks for your posts.

RIP Reverend Falwell.

This is so sad, but he certainly did the Lord’s work here on earth. I am sure the Lord has already greeted him with “Well done, good and faithful servant”.

Why are you trying to drag FR down to the level of DU durring this sad time?

Excuse me? Stop accusing me of things like that.

Suggest you go back to grieving and stop pontificating.

There would be some of that. But the ratio of hateful post to well wishes is much larger at DU then it is here. And the really hateful stuff gets deleted.

Did that whole thing stike you as strange as it did me? A generation ago you could assume an educated man would know at least the basics of Christianity, but I guess you can’t anymore.

Conservatives owe him a huge debt of gratitude for his efforts. He and three others launched the most successful Conservative Grassroots political movement in recent history. That movement helped put Reagan in the White House and later the GOP in power in both houses. Jerry is the second of the four to pass. The first too pass away was Ed McAteer. Paul Weyrich isn't in great health now, but I think Howard Phillips is.

A person didn't have to agree with him on all issues to appreciate what he helped accomplish for the Conservative movement. Rest in peace preacher. We need more like you who were not afraid to speak up and stand up for what was right. It may surprise some to know he was a DEM or was when he helped form the Moral Majority.

Say what you want about the man, he stood up for what’s right and he founded the Moral Majority. I’m sure the DUer’s are cheering but let them, their punishment awaits them.

Odd that you jumped in to defend someone defending the leftists.

As I stated to another poster, there are jerks on every board. The difference is....the liberal blogs today, the tone of every thread is the same, it’s not just a few posters, it’s the vast majority and the comments are all on the same vein.

If it’s happened here in the past, I’m glad it’s behind us. Please don’t defend the liberals, this isn’t the first time they’ve done this.

It’s Bush Derangement Syndrome and it reaches to anyone even remotely associated with the President.

It did strike me as strange. I couldn’t figure out why Savage seemed insulted by it. It seemed to really bother him.

Nobody is trying to defend the morons on DU.

I'm just pointing out that after being in here for nine years, I know damned well we'd see dozens of deleted posts in the event of a Hillary demise.

And if you don't agree, then we should just agree to disagree.

regards...
