Good morning, MoochPooch. I know what you mean. While reading some of it, I was feeling like such a slacker compared to some of those people. They were awesome!

They in turn would alert other volunteers to come to the depot by calling and saying “I have the coffee on.”

My dad, who became an english professor, wrote a book about him, and finished it before he died. My brother, who among other things is a writer. He is currently editing the manuscript.

Awesome. Maybe you can give a heads-up when it comes out.

Well, I have a busy day ahead. For one thing, I have some lawnmowing to do.

BTW, it turns out we did the right thing when we switched from Cable to DTV. I just recently found out that the cable service is being discontuined in a couple of months.

The local telephone company ran our cable system for a couple of years. They took it from another company a couple of years ago. Later that year, they started a DTV service.

Some of our Oklahoma freepers may recognize this telephone company if I told you what it is. They service 75 Oklahoma Communities.

In any event they're discontuining our community's cable TV service in July because of the high cost of running a cable TV service and because there are so few cable TV customers in our town.

So for now, it's DTV or the dish.
