On May 19th, 2007, Armed Forces Day, people will set up information tables and hold events outside military recruiting offices across the country to tell the truth about military recruiters. Iraq War Military Resister, Terri Johnson, who went AWOL from the Army rather than be sent to the illegal war in Iraq, told the crowd at the April 21 anti-war rally in Greensboro, NC that we all needed to be at the recruiters offices to tell young people the truth. This is the beginning of such an effort and we will continue these activities on a daily basis. Join us to help expose military recruiters lies and keep them out of our schools and communities.

The good news? Our ORA event will dwarf their petty, America-hating efforts.
The bad news? I dont have anyone signed up for ORA to cover Charlotte NC yet.
Since this is the beginning of their garbage, how about joining our 225+ commitments for Operation Recruiter Appreciation (ORA) across 47 states and D.C.? We still need participation from AR, MT, NE and WY. What an opportunity we have here, to both honor Americas recruiters and demoralize the clueless moonbats. Please click the link for details as to how you can honor our recruiters and military through GOEs Operation Recruiter Appreciation:

See this map for participating sites and states (no longer current, being updated with more sites/states right now):

Hat tip to Kathy in VT for providing me this lead. Eagles up!
Coop
is that how they got to earth? (the picture?)
Yes ma’am — it’s at the top of the thread, right under the title. If you click on “Gathering of Eagles” that’s where it goes! And BTW — didn’t mean to steal your thunder! I had it posted before I realized you were asked to. D’oh!
I asked the mod to pull the post (39?) and it is still here... I oops-ed and posted instead of FReepmail buttoned. duh, me!
hey, recon, how are ya? are you suited up for the battle against the moonbats? :;grin::
They’re against America.
Oh trust me — you’re not the only one who’s done that. ;-)
Dunno but it seems might close to it.
it is amazing to me that these anti-war weenies can get away with this stuff in the good old South!
Why don’t ya’all put on your Reb uniforms , pick up your muskets (with long bayonets attached) and run their asses right on out of town?
Stand up! Fight back!
Heh! Good point!! You sound fired up!! Hey — do ya think you could join the GoE cause and hit the recruiter’s office near you? May 19? Or thereabouts, anyway.
I never hear about, read or see any such protests in Houston. I suppose the moonbats aren’t THAT stupid, after all. Harris County is only THE most conservative county in the state. :-)
Well, I don’t think there’s really a limit to their stupidity, do you? It’s gotta be something else.
One word: Yankees.
May 19th is National Guard Drill Weekend for my unit.
The Recruiter Office is in the same armory as The Company.
I would like VERY MUCH to see anyone approach the Armory with their moonbat flights....
Oh! OK!! I will LOOK for you! ::cough, cough::
Yes, it is something else. They're afraid they'll get clobbered. Houston is a sprawling metropolis but underneath it's nothing but a very large, redneck town.
Every time some fool wants to protest something he is "roughed up," so to speak.
See if you can find a video of the Iranian who tried to protest against the USA in front of the Houston, Iranian embassy during the hostage crisis of peanut boy's admin. I don't know if he is still alive but if he is then I'm sure he doesn't want to protest in Houston anymore. He was surrounded by angry rednecks complete with their cowboy hats. I was on the 26th floor of the same building watching every minute of it.
The next day the Iranian club here in Houston announced that there would be a general demonstration. As soon as that happened the redecks announced a counter-demonstration. The Iranians immediately cancelled their demonstration. They learned their lesson quickly.
Heck, I'm becoming such a redneck that I might even join in the next counter-demonstration and do some head-knocking of my own. :-)

If reading the above makes you angry (and I hope it does), please consider joining our ORA efforts. You can spend as much or as little money as you like, and use your imagination to find creative ways of honoring and thanking our military recruiters.
If you cannot participate, or already are, then please take a minute or two to spread the word about ORA, especially to friends & colleagues in the states not yet accounted for. Thank you.
