Political correctness is simply a neo-Marxist movement designed to destroy our country and all our freedoms and put in their place tyrannical overlords.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

FReepinds may read this and not undertand this. What you say is absolutely true. I have seen PCness use to censor books at school traditionally used for decades, without goiing to an academic committee on the issue. The result, dozens of politically incorrect books in the bookroom that are informally known as books that will get you forced to resign.

This is the ultimate tyranny, the PC censorship of books and ideas according to a liberal socialist ethic.

The tyranny you speak of is a part of the burgeoning cultural war between conservative and liberal socialist values.

It is one of the greatest threats to the continuity of our nation.

Bump...

"This is an interesting position, which does appeal to my libertarian side. If we got rid of all the welfare programs, I would indeed favor open immigration. I pretty much favor abandoning all unenforceable laws."

Bill Cosby is my hero. I first caught his act at the Cafe Wah? in the Village in NYC in 1962. This young stand-up comedian was the talk of the town and would "grow up" to earn a PHD in Education!!!

His gigs were always about growing up in Philly and his memories paralleled ours. "Buck Buck" was eventually banned from the school yard but who among my generation did look for a "Fat Albert" to crush the opposing team. During cold weather what footballer didn't put his hands inside his waistband to keep their hands warm. No gloves in that era but his coach's admonistion was "not to put his hands there"!, because this particular college came, Temple Univ, was being televised.

Quite a guy!

Bill Cosby is my hero.

I agree. He's honest to the point that the likes of Jesse and Al have ostracized him from "their" community. I admire Cosby's honesty and courage.

Good morning, BTW!
And a good morning to you also, though a 'good evening' would be more appropriate towards me. I'm a night shift worker so I'm bass ackwards from most everybody else.

"a Latin-style bribe for our entire immigration bureaucracy to look the other way"

Bingo. Wondering why politicians won't stop illegal immigration? Follow the money. Besides, with the economy doing so well, the thousands of employees who manage the welfare state would be out of a job, and that covers the patronage side. What more do we need to know?

LOL! I can relate to that. I've worked may a night shift myself.

It's hard to explain to other folks that the 'next day' doesn't start until you've slept!

I call it the Nero syndrome. I’ve often noted that some historians claim Nero wanted Rome to burn down so he could rebuild it to his own specifications.

The only valid academic committee is that of the free-market private school business. Each school's academic committee determines the curriculum.

You are right Zon, but so many formerly conservative private schools have gone PC. I want to work at a conservative private school, like VMI.

Any suggestions?

I don't want to live by what sells in Peoria, and there are millions like me.

Question During Debate: 'What Do You Dislike Most About America?'

It's too bad Mitt didn't say political correctness. That's what I would have said.

What we need is a black dictionary.

A dictionary describing what is politically correct? Sounds like the first Edition of the Dictionary of Newspeak. I don't know, I think that would be double plus ungood.

What we need is a black dictionary.

What we need are "official" versions of approved speech codes based on the race/gender-identity of the speaker. Each would list all approved and disapproved words. Sale would be restricted. I provide a PC-ified spelling substitute in order not to offend (impossible):

It's gets dicey when groups intermix: Is the resulting code an "intersection" or "union"?
