Bill Cosby is my hero. I first caught his act at the Cafe Wah? in the Village in NYC in 1962. This young stand-up comedian was the talk of the town and would "grow up" to earn a PHD in Education!!!

His gigs were always about growing up in Philly and his memories paralleled ours. "Buck Buck" was eventually banned from the school yard but who among my generation did look for a "Fat Albert" to crush the opposing team. During cold weather what footballer didn't put his hands inside his waistband to keep their hands warm. No gloves in that era but his coach's admonistion was "not to put his hands there"!, because this particular college came, Temple Univ, was being televised.

Quite a guy!

Bill Cosby is my hero.

I agree. He's honest to the point that the likes of Jesse and Al have ostracized him from "their" community. I admire Cosby's honesty and courage.
