1. Encourage and give tax credits for nuclear power plants to build more and increase their use.
Even more specific, change the legal climate for nuclear power, allowing progress without baseless legal challenges and develop solid government approved standards for nuclear designs that avoid customized engineering solutions to every installation. Rickover did it on difficult floating platforms called naval vessels.
Sada said it was during a Dam Collapse in Syria when they were flying mercy missions about 9 mos before the invasion.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Gee, which alternative media could you be talking about?? You mean those Walk on Water conservatives that have never compromised in their lives??
Pray for W and OUr Troops
None of my suggestions work without reforming the laws and regulations the left uses to stop energy independence.
I agree. It is what we stand for and are that makes us different from the rest of the world, including other democracies. The two major threats I see to the future of this country are immigration, legal and illegal, and the entitlement programs. George Bush is on the wrong side of immigration. That's not a wart, it is a cancer.
The President does have the ability to go directly to the American people.
****
How often and by which channels do you recommend that the President do this?
See my post #336. He should go as often as he needs to in addition to his weekly radio address. The WH must recognize that they are in a propaganda war with the Dems. The stakes are too high not to marshall every asset it can to counter the misinformation that abounds.
I am watching the rerun of FNSunday I just wanted to slap Dodd what a dudd!!It's a civil war don'tcha just know, hardly anyone has mentioned the "surge" what the hell is wrong with them!! Boehner did mention "the plan" but our side needs to get the word surge out every 30 seconds we just don't get it. The rats won't even mention the word we need to counter all that.
Yeah, but you want us to concentrate on getting cancer treatment while we're in the middle of a gunfight.
It's all about priorities.
I drove an ambulance for a living for many years in the early 70s. I learned to do triage.
Securing our borders is part of the gunfight. Controlling who and what comes into our country is part of the gunfight. Accodding to Duncan Hunter, 155,000 of the people apprehended at the border came from coutries other than Mexico, including the PRC, North Korea, and Iran.
It's all about priorities
Right, and since 9/11, our borders and visa overstays should be among our top priorities.
We're in the bleeding/poisoning stage. Dealing with cancer is way down the list, though ultimately no less important... assuming you survive to get to the point where it matters.
I am far more concerned about the threat of immigration, legal and illegal, than militant Islamic fundamentalism to the long term future of our country.
Yes, he has the bully pulpit. He can address the nation on TV in prime time and has. He holds televised press conferences. He gives his weekly radio address. He can arrange for televised interviews. It is far too easy to blame the MSM, which is definitely biased. There are other ways to communicate using the new media. The old media is declining in the number of viewers and readers. Its influence is on the wane.
The DBM are cutting off his message to the people. He may hold press conferences but only 10 to 15 seconds of it, if any, gets on the air, and it's the sound bite that the DBM chooses. If he asks for prime time access now I think it's clear the DBM will turn him down. After all, he's not one of the top 100 most influential people. Time said so.
But there are alternative media and the old media's influence is on the wane. His video visit with the milbloggers this week was an excellent example. He needs to reach out to the new media in a big way in the next 18 months.
Tony would be a great conduit to do that, IMHO.
I agree 100%. Border's first. I can live with an amnesty for hard working people who came here without the right paperwork but truly want to be US citizens, but that comes only after we secure the border.
Right, and since 9/11, our borders and visa overstays should be among our top priorities.
But not over folks carrying bombs. I care much less about someone's legal status than I do about their intent on being here. Lacking evidence about their intent then legal status must be the benchmark, but you and I both know that 99% of those people are here for economic reasons, not because they wish to do us harm. That's probably why most of your ancestors came here too. Some of mine came here for those reasons, some were here before the Europeans and some were brought here in chains (from Scotland, not Africa). I'm concerned about the security issues. Let the immigration issues sort themselves out separately.
I am far more concerned about the threat of immigration, legal and illegal, than militant Islamic fundamentalism to the long term future of our country.
You're out of your tiny little mind On that point I'll have to respectfully disagree with you <g>
I have been trying to locate a time line as far as when Gen Georges Sada moved the WMD from Iraq to Damascus via the two gutted jets. I know there were over 50 missions flown but I dont know exactly when.
I wonder if anyone here knows the time line. Sada of course was the Air Force Gen. for Saddam
Busy studying and spending time with the kids, but I was watching this earlier. One twin came by and watched with me, then another and then Dad came along
LOL
I guess Fausta picked well

By the way in locating those older threads I found that Google uses FR as one of their main sources.
That’ll get you up and going :)
I don't think that he achieved his objective. He had probably never listened to an entire statement by any conservative and was shocked at how well they handled even his stupidest questions.
I completely agree with you.
