The kidneys fail first. Then the central nervous system begins to misfire. Paralysis spreads, making breathing difficult, then often impossible without assistance. In the end, most victims die.
Many of them are children, poisoned at the hands of their unsuspecting parents.
The syrupy poison, diethylene glycol, is an indispensable part of the modern world, an industrial solvent and prime ingredient in antifreeze.
It is also a killer. And the deaths, if not intentional, are often no accident.

Haha I’m guilty of chatting about the Anna Nicole case, but I find all the legal aspects surrounding her death very interesting. I didn’t think much of Anna herself—thought she was a grifter and a druggie.
This China food situation has my highest priority and it IS amazing that such a very small microcosm of people are aware of the problem. Ignorance can’t be bliss? Or can it?
OMG, you are right. Blood Trail is gone!
I’m just seeing the splash page!
i’m going to check the Net archives!
UNREAL, cant wait for the FDA press conference on Tuesday.
Read now that the EPA is involved.
Thank you - this is the information I have been looking for today.
no one is talking about it, but someone, somewhere needs to sound the alarm...
What a freaking mess..... how much longer are they going to be able to keep the main, MSM lid on all this?
Of course, this IS the New York Times....
I'm off to bed now; but keep checking here for the Blood Trail links:
That is what I find interesting......that The New York Times has actually published this information. They are usually one of the best at ignoring and suppressing important and relevant news. Maybe since the NYT has let some information slip out, the rest of the media will start to do so, too. They all seem to get their “news” from one single secret source. The script is always the same......they all talk about exactly the same things, using exactly the same phrases, on every station and channel. We can only hope that the light bulb has finally gone off and the media has just started to realize that maybe this affects them, too.
Lets assume for a minute that what the FDA continues to tell us is true, that melamine has not been proven to harm animals and humans and they are just being “cautious”.
Then I want to know what the real poison is......the one that they found in the gluten products......the one that is killing thousands of pets, the one that is causing them to destroy thousands of pigs and chickens, the one that is causing them to continue to recall pet foods because of a possibility of cross-contamination, the one that hasn’t even occured to the vets to test for yet, the one that because of the “dilution effect” shouldn’t really be that harmful to humans.
If this poison so dangerous that “cross-contamination” could be a problem, that even small quantities of it in, lets say the air, that end up landing on pet food that has not been packaged yet, or let’s say, left behind in pet food preparation vats because of inadequate cleaning practices, could kill that many pets and possibly humans? Have any of the actual workers at Menu Foods become ill?
Nobody has disclaimed when they first found rat poison in the pet food in New York, if they have I have not read it.
Remember that was the first warning, then it was the melemine.
PING
Same here, ..... same here!
I heard late last night that Sanjey on CNN is going to do a one hour special next weekend on poison food.. when the time is available this should be posted to everyone possible to watch. He is usually pretty responsible in his reports and he is an MD.
Thank you for the post. Now I know the rest of the story.
I have been scanning the local newspapers everyday since last October for conclusive news about these poisonings, but no luck until today. And it came from the New York Times no less.
The authors described Panama, as a country, extremely accurately as well as those reputable doctors mentioned. I felt I was reading something by folks who actually had lived here for years and years.
I will be e-mailing this far and wide today.
Thanks again.
“Free trade” and “open borders” is going to kill us.
“stop all trade with china immediately”
The only way that is going to happen is if we innundate congresscritters with tainted pet food and kids syrup for THEIR families. They really couldn’t pass up anything for free, could they?
Any country that trades with the US should have to abide by the same rules & regs as American businesses do. If you read the whole article, you will find that counterfeit glycerin (ie, the poison diethylene glycol) has been distributed around the world since at least 1992. Why haven’t we heard about it previously? Why hasn’t anything been done about it? Why do we let China stonewall us without consequences?
I am reading “The World Is Flat” by Thomas Friedman (a liberal, I know, but this book is good). I am only part way through, but so far I would call it a primer on globalization. Offshoring, outsourcing, etc-—much of it made possible by our dot.com industries spreading fiber optic cable under the oceans to India, China, etc. before many of them went broke. The Indians and the Chinese believe that the “flat world” will result in their countries eventually surpassing the US-—because they are now learning our technology, business procedures and also because they are more ambitious and their education systems are better. (I’m not necessarily saying they’re right; I’m just telling you what they think.)
It’s frightening, but we need to know about it and deal with it.
“The World Is Flat” should be required reading for every American.
Makes you think reimportation of medications from other countries is a moronic idea. Don’t you want to be assured what you are getting ??
What a living nightmare, both to the clinics and the poor that depend on them.
