But now it's not so clear where he stands on the Schiavo case.

This doesn't surprise me at all. Over the years, he's done complete flipflops at least a half-dozen times on the issue of taxpayer-funded abortion. They listed the dates of his flipflops on TV the other night.
And he was totally opposed to the Partial Birth Abortion Ban. Now he's for it...well, I haven't checked if he's still for it today.
And a few years back, he bragged about suing gun manufacturers and begged Congress to require restrictive measures on handguns and mandatory training far more extensive than required for driving a car. But now, he thinks gun control in rural areas is a bad idea. Apparently, our constitutional rights vary according to local population density.
Rudi is such a bizarre nutjob, he's going to be campaigning in full drag before this is all over. Picture Johnny Depp playing Ed Wood.

Giuliani's campaign spokesman, Elliott Bundy, on Friday tried to clarify Giuliani's apparent contradictions on ... everything
Hey Rooty, pick a direction. Come on, it won't hurt - much.

Is this some weird Rudi-code for "giving a patient food and water"?
Parsing nutjob Rudi is like some medieval torture.

I would love to see a poll here, which includes only the second tier candidates. I am impressed with most of them, but one of them needs to break out. How about running a poll to see which one has the best chance with Free Republic posters.

It’s a bit disturbing to me that there seems to be more animus here for Giuliani than for Hillary.
I don’t see Giuliani winning over the Republican base in the primaries, which means he’s got little chance of winning the nomination. Yet you folks spend inordinate amounts of time on this guy.

When are people going to realize Giuliani is just a loose cannon and NOT Presidential material...???
He’s a “likable guy”....so was Bill the Zipper.

Rudy's position on social issues is actually quite clear.
JulieAnnie feels very strongly BOTH WAYS on all social issues.

I don’t agree with Rudy. In this case, when the courts are obviously stacked against this poor woman who in my opinion was murdered, then the courts should not interfer.

Does Rooty TootToot even know where he stands anymore? I was for saving Schaivo before I was against it. I was for abortion before I was partially against it. Rooty is trying to win by lying to appeal to all voters.
Flip Flop - Somebody needs to change the name from Kerry to Rudy!

Does anyone here have the quote where Rudy says he would like to run on all party lines, including the Democratic if he could?

I do so appreciate politicians who KNOW what they stand for an on issue, don’t you?! (sarcasm) At least, if people are paying attention (do the sheeple?), they might have questions now about how one day he has this opinion on an issue, and the next day it is a differing opinion of the same issue! waffle, waffle. most certainly a person who can take a strong stand in running a country! (sarcasm) he has my vote of NO CONFIDENCE.

Thanks, Jim, for all these posts regarding Rudy’s liberal actions and words. It’s important this information gets to conservatives across this country.

The Schiavo case was a political loser for Republicans. Now, by itself, that doesn’t show they were wrong, but it does show how wide and deep libertarian sentiments extend throughout the electorate. No matter who wins the Republican nomination, they’re going to backpedal at warp speed if the issue resurfaces during the campaign.

Using the Clinton playbook of TRIANGULATION..
Alas, it works well on the voter, as we saw with 8 years of Clinton.
