EXCLUSIVE: Fred Thompson Ive Never Casually Run For Anything
Thompson talks to Breitbart.tv in his first video interview since the GOP presidential debate. He answers critics who say he doesn't have the drive to run: "I'm not going to argue the extent or location of the fire in my belly." And what about James Dobson questioning his Christianity?

National security has to be the overriding issue. We are going into a different era. We've got Islamic fundamentalism, suicide maniacs trying to get their hands on nuclear weapons that says it all...Totally agree...he is positive on shutting down the border also...

I haven’t heard that from Dobson, let alone the context of his statement. I don’t think Dobson wants Rudy by any means, and then there would be the theological differences with Romney, and John McCain’s believer bashing statements from the 2000 election. Who is left who has a chance?

Every time I’ve gone to Breitbart, I found their articles to have a visible liberal viewpoint.

Amazing. FT does a great interview. He seems comfortable with who he is, and isn’t trying to mold himself into someone else’s image.
His answers always seem to drill home to important issues, and minimize things which are unimportant. IMO this is often missing in today’s politics.

Still don’t know enough to know if he has the right stuff . . . . but I sure like the way he talks.

Here’s a great line from Fred:
” ...On the Republican presidential debate (which Thompson skipped): “I didn’t watch it. [Laughs] I was on a plane for most of the time.... Ten people and Chris Matthews, that’s a challenge for anybody to watch.”

Fred Thompson will massacre any of the Dem candidates including Hillary. Things are going to get real interesting when he announces his run.

We are talking about the future of the country here. Not somebody's hurt feelings or embarrassment. We're talking about the next generation. And these other things are extremely minor considerations compared to that.I like his perspective on things.
