I just watched it right now. I think it’s excellent that Duncan Hunter is the only candidate who has called for military action against Iran. Now is the time to attack before Iran gets their nuclear weapons, because once they get them we’ll have to attack anyway after Israel gets nuked. Hunter gets it.

Go to post #1 and click on the link. Superb!
Hunter's performance pretty much puts to rest the absurd criticism that he "isn't presidential enough." He came across as a real stand-up guy. Not a polished politico type. But a straight shooter. And personally, that's what I like about him.

..now that is a surprise--wasn't he a Romney guy?
He still is--he had a Romney make-out session on after his initial comments on the debate. But he had very high praise for Hunter indeed, and even said "This guy deserves support." I was shocked to hear him say that, frankly.

I didn’t see where he was changing his quote. Or did I miss something?

Yes, you missed something, but it’s not your fault. We conservatives are just two dumb to understand political nuance. Unlike the Democrats and their Propaganda Ministry, AKA, the MSM, you and I are not properly trained in reading inuendo into anything we darned well please.

Let me tell ya. I was in Hunter’s camp a few months back but decided it was too early to be too enthusiastic, with plenty of time to learn more. Besides, the fighting here turned me off, with some of Hunter’s people acting as bad or worse than the Rudy tooters. So, I backed off of any candidate and waited for the debate.
Hunter won me with his very first answer last night, and his performance stayed at that high quality pitch to the end. He has what it takes. As one poster on the live thread said, he has the “fire in the belly.” Romney is cold, and his presentation is meager compared to Hunter’s solid Presidential demeanor. Duncan showed he has thought through all the issues, taken a stand and is prepared to respond.
Romney blows with the wind.

I have to agree with you about Romney. He looked and sounded good, didn’t let himself get ruffled. But,then, one could always say that about I-x42, as well. I don’t mean, BTW, that they are alike in any way except in phoniness.

Sort of a Republican Harry Truman. A man with the courage of his convictions, classy but not spit and polish. A Real Man.

I thought Hunter was excellent in substance. Hes just not a showman. Both are reasons I want him to be my next president. Unfortunately 'substance' doesn't mean a thing to some.
In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock. Said Thomas Jefferson.

I’m even more convinced now that if Rooty was to some how get the nomination, Hillary will be the next president. Hunter rocked and should be the GOP nomination.

Romney comes across like a snake-oil salesman. Just another self-serving politician. Swaying with the wind on important issues like abortion.
