Ok, good to know - I thought I remembered that. I seem to remember something happened that led some to view him dimly - but are you saying that Wisconsin is now gone over to the dark side, governmentally speaking? Is a Dem in charge?

Yes. The answer to both questions.

Notwithstanding the kookiness factor, I think Paul and Tancredo gave the most honest, direct answers. Still, I don’t see them as having a chance. I think Gilmore did a lot better than you present. Thanks for taking the time to share your impressions.

Mitt didn’t say anything wrong, but his overall demeanor was way too slick for my taste.

You need to have your brain degreased. You're generating the oilslick internally.

And what are your qualifications to make the assessment that he is genuine to the core? What have you done in your life that we should trust YOU to tell US that he’s genuine to the core. Especially when our impression is the opposite.

How’s that for a fair question?

I’ll take Ron Paul and Tom Coburn at the top of the ticket.

But when Fred gets going, I’m ready & willing to jump on board.

The rest of these guys are just more of the same. Big govenment bozos who don’t think twice about taking your money or your liberty.

Ron Paul is an embarrassment for the Republican Party. The guy is a lunatic and he is a defeatist

Ron Paul is perfect for his Congressional district. They are well served by him but he would be a disaster as President. You can't be the World's only superpower and have absolutely NO foreign policy whatsoever.

“What you posted was pure nonsense.”

Not for the candidates. We can go nuts here as much as we want.

THe last thing I want to see is these guys serving up fodder for democrats to use against republicans down the road.

Let the democrats eat each other.
You have seen how people delight in that here.

You think the MSM is not going to exaggerate any republican in fighting to use against them later?

I thought the leftwing mayor would do much better. This was about as friendly a crowd as he could hope for, being liberal Arnie country. Rudi fell flat.

That realy surprised me too. While there are so many things I dislike about Rudy, I had believed that he would be a quick thinker and faster on his feet. Another myth dispelled.

>>>>>Thats a little over the top, ..Rudy wants to kill all the unborn...It`s also wrong, he doesn`t and you know that

This is what I know about Rudy and his tsance on abortion. He supports abortion on demand and partial birth abortion. He also beleives a woman has a constitutional right to kill her unborn child still alive in the womb. Rudy Giuliani is an abortionist. Sorry, I suggest you read his public remarks from 1989 until today.

Thanks for the prompt response EV. I was starting to consider him a bit, but this reaffirms my support of either Duncan Hunter or maybe Sam Brownback. Those embryos created are people in the earliest stage of life, and I can not in good conscience support a candidate who believes that they should be destroyed. Apparently he changed his position when learning about embryonic stem cell research, but yet he still supports it to a degree. Also, I am a firm supporter of the Human Life Amendment. I truly believe that it is the duty of our government to protect human life based on the Constitution. States shouldn’t be allowed to permit killing as I believe it is unconstitutional. He is fairly low on my list.

Sounds right. It seems he goes into a forum and hits it out of the ballpark. The ultimate test is conviction and smarts. I think he has both. I think Bush has both too. While their personas are very different, they may be somewhat alike.

“I kept waiting for someone to take a shot at Mathews, it would have been so easy.”

Me too, but figured it wouldn’t happen. My sweetheart said that when Matthews asked about what they would think about Bill Clinton being in the white house again that he would have said to Matthews: “Would you clarify that question as to whether Monica would be there also?”

I agree with the assessment that McCain won the debate

When your biggest gaff is being for and against evolution, it wasn't a bad night. He's lucky the spotlight didn't go to his awful performance on immigration.
