'Bob And Tom' Billboard Too Racy For Some

BOISE, Idaho -- The Indianapolis-based "Bob And Tom" radio show is the subject of controversy in Boise, Idaho, where some say a caricature is a bit too revealing.
Billboards promoting the nationally syndicated show, which originates at WFBQ, show likenesses of Bob and Tom strategically placed on a tight T-shirt, covering a woman's chest.
Some parents were upset that their children are seeing the billboard.
"My kids both saw it and my daughter is 7 and she said, 'Mom, that's gross, that's immodest,'" said Kayla Mooso. "I think that's against my parental rights because I can't turn it off like I can when I choose not to buy a magazine or I choose not to go to the back of the video store."
Scott Souhrada, the program director of the Boise station that carries the show, said he think the billboard speaks to the audience he is trying to reach.
"The audience for the Bob and Tom show is predominately men 25-54 and we thought that would appeal to them and attract their attention," Souhrada said.
Management at the station said it is taking public comment into consideration and will decide later this week if the billboards will stay up.

Oh for crying out loud. The woman pictured on the BB is not showing, or wearing anything you couldn't see walking down the street.
Heaven forbid if you actually go to a beach or community pool. You'll have a heart attack.

You have a good point. My reaction to this women being offended is, "So? So what?". Now if she starts lobbying for laws against billboards such the modest one for Bob and Tom, that's another matter.

A good question, and I answer: expressly because it should be enforced and taught by the parents at home, and not the government.

I am sick unto death of seeing that cheap, low rent cr@p “walking down the street”, and so are many other people. Mainly because the little girls are copying it.
Why can’t you just do your leering and lusting in private and try to behave like a civilized adult in public? People like you are the reason Howard Stern has a job. Ugly, gross toilet jokes and the debasement of women are through the roof in today’s society and I’m wrong? Don’t think so...

Yeah, cool ones make decisions based upon what their peer group will think instead of based on good moral foundations. You can have cool kids all you want. Mine will stay away from yours and be smart. But if they do hang around mine, they can learn to be both. In fact, they'd be cool, smart, "moral" (actually, ethical), and have a healthy male attitude towards female breasts -- all at the same time!
Actually, I don't have any kids. Is a world where the mere acknowledgment of boobs in a lighthearted way leads to shrieks of immorality a place for kids to grow up normally?

BTTT!
I never like Bob & Tom. Too juvenile for the most part. But hey - they are fairly successful - they are syndicated all over the country.

First off, aside from whatever I've seen in the news, I have never, ever, listened to Howard Stern. And while I've listened to B & T (I do live in Indy) in the past, it's probably been 10 years or more since I've done so.
As for the cleavage in the pic, I've seen as much in say - John Wayne movies from the 40's & 50's. If you've got a problem with women showing cleavage, take it up with women, going back for a century or two.
And if little girls are copying such things; I'm not sure who we should really blame for that, but I suspect parents would top the list.
As for my looking. Sure I'm gonna look. I appreciate a good looking woman, and I will look regardless of cleavage being shown or not. I'm not going to apologize for being a single, heterosexual, red-blooded American Male.

Careful how you use the word ID-A-HOIt's I'd (use) A Hoe on those weeds if I were you. Different context, and it relates to the agricultural nature of the state.

Boise is a blue area.Parts of Boise are "blue". North End, East Boise, downtown, BSU area, etc. tend to be more liberal than West Boise and Meridian. The Rat candidates for governor and House District 1 may have carried Boise City, but they didn't carry Ada County, if I recall corectly.
