Blink for a moment and you can imagine that--as many Chinese would tell the tale--after nearly 200 years of foreign .........., China is preparing for a date with destiny. "The Chinese wouldn't put it this way themselves," says Lieberthal. "But in their hearts I think they believe that the 21st century is China's century."

The title you created “The Chinese Century” is not the title at the source and now has to be changed.
Please do not alter titles of any published material. Just use the original published title.
Thanks.
The whole thing is made up by the Drive By media. It’s so annoying. Everyone in the world would do better to never buy a NY TIMES or a TIME magazine again.
Actually,
I’ve personally heard many put it exactly that way. Some saying it will be
The Chinese Millenium.
Just got this in an email.
The quote below from Sinclair is spot on.
Think hard before you giggle!!

It is time to put xenophobia behind you. If you remain opposed to reality you end up OUT of the game.
Have your children (Grandchildren ) learn Mandarin? They are going to be working for Chinese interests.
That is what a long term plan, of which the West has none, does for you.
No.
Their culture is at least 7,000 years old though some aren’t aware of that. Most think it’s at least 5,000 years old.
They have felt subjigated by the West for a very long time—and they think—quite unfairly, unjustly etc.
Now they see China as waking up and taking her due place in the world. They expect to rule the world—some for a thousand years.
They expect to take over Australia—so much land—so little population—China needs it—China will be able to take it and will—is their perspective.
They are not kidding. They are not wildly fantasizing. They believe it will be relatively easy—even if they are merely the remainder of a pile of atomic war refuse. They expect to have more left on top of the pile from their 1.2 billion population.
They see the West as degenerate, greedy, corrupt [yes, they are more corrupt and some know that] etc.
Thankfully, God has other plans. Otherwise, they’d likely be right the rate we are going with our political traitors in congress.
Interesting.
Thanks
Learning Mandarin is not a bad idea, really.
One should be able to understand one’s masters or prison guards.
Which seems to be the goal of so many traitors in DC as well as our own NM Richardson traitor supremo—next to the Klintoons.
Crap. The same thing was said about the us working for Japanese companies back in the 80’s and 90’s.
I think the Chinese may be more patient and tenaciously methodical than even the Japanese.
Doesn’t matter, still ain’t going to happen.

Exhibit Pie for why I’ll take short-to-medium term fiscal advice from a gold peddler, but will turn to people grounded in economic reality (and with an education in economics) for my commentary on economic matters.
“Most Chinese, the survey found, believed China’s global influence would match that of the U.S. within a decade.”
And, as you can see from this thread alone, many non-Chinese are just as indoctrinated in this fallacy as are the Chinese — except they’ve at least got the excuse that they’re living in a state-controlled media world with virtually no access to objective material.
“Yet today China’s relations with its neighbors are nothing but sweetness and light, often at the expense of the U.S. Absorbed by the arc of crisis spreading from the Middle East, the U.S. is simply less visible in Southeast Asia than it once was, and China is stepping into the vacuum.”
....
“It is not aid from the U.S. but trade with China—carried on new highways being built from Kunming in Yunnan province to Hanoi, Mandalay and Bangkok, or along a Mekong River whose channels are full of Chinese goods—that is transforming much of Southeast Asia.”
These are the reasons people should actually be upset with this administration. It did not have to be this way, particularly the ebbing of America’s visible presence in Asia. We have steered long-term foreign policy for _decades_ upon _decades_ toward Asia, and this administration has failed to even make a decent show of face in the region in many important respects. (In terms of business and economic matters.) It’s mind-boggling, and if it’s not corrected soon it will be far more damaging to American economic interest and soft power than Iraq.
Oh, make no mistake about it, China is definately going for the gold.
No freakin way. I've studied both cultures. The Japanese are very meticulous in perfecting methods of creating anything, whether it be art, science, agriculture, etc. The Chinese don't even come close. Hope my wife doesn't read this, as she is Chinese-American. However, she does say that Chinese males are the worst male chauvinist pigs on the planet, and that they excel at that.
There will likely be plenty of trouble with their trying to make it happen, though.
I figure they may be one of the 3 kings that gives even the antiChrist trouble in the global government. They are welcome to do that, imho.
You could be right. But their art might indicate otherwise. The terra cotta warriors were not a slam dunk slash bang job.
Nor are a lot of their china, ceramics.
I’d agree about their men . . . though the Japanese might be even worse on that score.
And let’s not get into who’s the worse, more chronic liars.
