U.S. Seeks Closing of Visa Loophole for Britons

Omar Khyam, the ringleader of the thwarted London bomb plot who was sentenced to life imprisonment on Monday, showed the potential for disaffected young men to be lured as terrorists, a threat that British officials said they would have to contend with for a generation.

But the 25-year-old Mr. Khyam, a Briton of Pakistani descent, also personifies a larger and more immediate concern: as a British citizen, he could have entered the United States without a visa, like many of an estimated 800,000 other Britons of Pakistani origin.

American officials, citing the number of terror plots in Britain involving Britons with ties to Pakistan, expressed concern over the visa loophole. In recent months, the homeland security secretary, Michael Chertoff, has opened talks with the government here on how to curb the access of British citizens of Pakistani origin to the United States.

The IPs were acquired from 19 of the more prominent of the Salafist/Jihadist forums, including both Arabic and non-Arabic forums, from 01 January through 30 April of this year. For reasons of operational security we are not able to identify the specific sites sampled, except to note that the list of of sites will bear a striking resemblance to current or former “Top Sites” lists published at internet-haganah.org.”

A French citizen having contacts with Al Qaeda in Algeria arrested

French media sources revealed that French security services arrested a French young man from Arab origins last Saturday indicted with the establishment of direct contacts with the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat - GSPC - in Algeria.

The same sources made clear that the 34-year old B. Kamel has set contacts with the GSPC via Internet since a year, the same sources added that the French information services who supervised the operation have found explosives for ammunition and automatic gun manufacturing. In its first statements, the defence denied the fact that their client activities are based on religious or dogmatic objectives, but rather on pure political convictions they have not revealed.

A judiciary source unveiled to France Press Agency - AFP - that the arrested suffers from light psychological disturbances, which does not prevent him distinguishing his behaviour, the fact that means he takes on the whole responsibility for charges indicted to him by the French justice.

Noteworthy, the arrest intervenes as a result of French information services activity intensifying recently after the terrorist attacks that shaken Algeria and Morocco, especially given the fact that it coincides with the French presidential election campaign undertaken under tightened security measures.

Two Palestinians die in clash at Lebanon camp

Two Palestinian fighters were killed and two more wounded on Monday in a clash between rival factions at a Palestinian refugee camp in south Lebanon, security sources said.

They said the clashes erupted at Ain el-Hilweh camp after a member of the Muslim militant Jund al-Sham group opened fire at fighters from Fatah, killing one. (Reuters)

I remember that discussion too.

Currently, I have a real fascination with the tendency of jihadis to seem to want to play in organized paintball or wargaming activities. I think it telegraphs their future intentions and locations quite nicely.

There were several Al Quaeda arrests in Northern Va a few years back, where an organized terror cell was found to be using paintball activities to help them hone their skills.

Seems like local mosques are even sponsoring paintball competitions as a form of “non violent jihad” to keep their warfighting skills honed as the Koran requires.

Keep an eye on that for the future.

You have GOTTA be kidding! Paintball? I played the game when it first started back in the 1980s. My troops wanted to go play against the civilians for fun. We almost got our butts kicked because the civilians would do things that'd get them killed PDQ in a real situation. So we wouldn't pay more than a cursory bit of attention to the huge danger area and then....sure enough they'd come clumping along in broad daylight right thru the open field....I hope the Jihadis are training that way. Also, I did tend to notice that those paintball guns weren't all that accurate. Maybe that's changed, since 1982.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “MANILA (Reuters) - A bomb killed four people and wounded 29 when it tore through a billiard hall in the southern Philippines on Tuesday in an attack military officials blamed on an al Qaeda-linked Islamist group.

The blast took place at a busy street corner in Tacurong City, officials said. Tacurong is on the troubled island of Mindanao, about 950 km (600 miles) south of Manila.

Major-General Raymundo Ferrer, army commander in Cotabato on Mindanao, said initial inquiries indicated it was the handiwork of Jemaah Islamiah (JI), a regional militant network.

“It has all the signature of a terrorist attack,” Ferrer told reporters, ruling out politics behind the attack.

“We have strong suspicions the JI carried out the attack to remind us they’re still very much around. The target was obviously innocent people.”

Ferrer said four people were confirmed killed and 29 were wounded. Earlier, officials had reported five dead and 35 wounded, but Ferrer said some casualties had been counted twice in the initial confusion after the blast.

Benjamin de los Santos, Tacurong City’s deputy police chief, said a suspect with known links to local Islamist militants had been identified.

“We have identified a possible suspect who was seen carrying a bag before the explosion,” he told reporters.”

Interesting blog entry from Serbia regarding today's events:

Did the 4 Albanian terrorists have connections to Holbrooke, Clark?

According to Bloomberg the Kosovo Albanians that were planning to kill as many Americans as possible are: Dritan Duka, 28; Shain Duka, 26; Eljvir Duka, 23. Agron Abdullahu, 24. Bloomberg says that: The Dukas and Abdullahu are ethnic Albanians from the former Yugoslavia [read: Muslim-dominated Kosovo], U.S. officials said. The Duka brothers operated roofing businesses based in Cherry Hill… and Abdullahu worked at a supermarket, according to authorities.

Now, the New Jersey is stone throw from New York where the big-dog in the roofing business among the Muslim Kosovo Albanians is Florin Krasniqi, the man that funded and smuggled weapons to the Kosovo’s Muslim Albanian gunmen prior to 1999.

Since then, Krasniqi also funded John Kerry campaign but it is alleged that Krasniqi funded and still funds Thomas Lantos and his daughter in Congress, John McCain, Joseph Leiberman and Joseph Biden - all supporters of Kosovo independence, an illegal stand that seeks to dismember a democracy, namely Serbia, in order to have an independent state where more of these terrorists will attack America.

Lantos recently said that: just a reminder to the predominantly Muslim-led government in this world that here is yet another example that the United States leads the way for the creation of a predominantly Muslim country in the very heart of Europe. This should be noted by both responsible leaders of Islamic governments, such as Indonesia, and also for jihadists of all color and hue. The United States’ principles are universal, and in this instance, the United States stands foursquare for the creation of an overwhelmingly Muslim country in the very heart of Europe.

Back in 1998, however, Krasniqi went to Pakistan to make weapons purchases, and Pakistan is one of the al-Qaeda nests. According to the latest book by Pakistani President Musharaff, Muslims consider war in Kosovo a Jihad. Krasniqi also funded the campaign of John Kerry and at the fundraiser Richard Holbrooke and Wesley Clark were also present chatting with Krasniqi and other former Muslim KLA members whom Krasniqi employed. Holbrooke and Clark extracted over $500,000 for Kerry on that fundraiser.

At one point during the fundraising Krasniqi called on to Wesley Clark to come join, both exuberant, telling Clark to shake hands because “This is your KLA”. Clark did not object to being identified as owner of that terrorist group.

It would be interesting to find whether any of the arrested Muslim Albanians on the Fort Dix terror plot were ever a KLA?
Were they ever employed by Krasniqi?
Were they at the Kerry fundraising?

…and notice how the FBI and US government identify these men as “born in former Yugoslavia” of which Serbia is the successor state. It is a disingenuous statement that deflects blame to the Muslim Kosovo Albanian collective - in fact blames Serbs - because Serbia is the successor state to Yugoslavia.

In the recent State Department’s report that Serbia is eager to work with US on terrorism while Muslim-dominated Kosovo is the terror nest al-Qaeda will and, given Fort Dix, IS becoming one with al-Qaeda.

We are yet to find out how much of this spin is attributed to Nicholas Burns, a man with a pronounced hatred of Serbs, appointed by Holbrooke’s boss, Clinton, that supports Kosovo independence and collaborates with an army of lawyers from the Council on Foreign Relations in order to find a legal stipulation that will tear Serbian sovereignty apart - a legal precedent by this “One World” group that believes sovereignty is the pits so that they can, once they elect either Obama Hussein or Hillary Rh(S)odom, tear up more states across the world.

International Crisis Group - a group that creates these crisis in the first place - is the European arm of these folks that have made a splendid anti-Bush propaganda out of a man that is a simple Christian that trully wishes freedom to all folks.

Man arrested for knife possession at airport

MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Fla. -- Police are investigating a man's intentions after he was arrested for packing a knife in his luggage. Miami-Dade Police arrested Ross Eric Rosenberg of Fort Lauderdale after airport security screeners scanned his bag at Miami International Airport and found a knife at the bottom of it.

The knife was concealed at the bottom of his luggage in several pieces. When authorities asked Rosenberg about the weapon he denied knowing anything about it.

Bomb threat forces evacuation of state ferry(Washington - second incident in two days)

Ferry service between Bremerton and Seattle resumed Tuesday afternoon, hours after a bomb threat forced the evacuation of the ferry MV Walla Walla. The Washington State Patrol learned of the threat around 1:45 p.m., and bomb-sniffing dogs were on the scene and searching the boat, Sgt. Craig Johnson said.

The Tuesday threat occurred after the vessel had left Seattle, a ferry spokeswoman said. As a safety precaution, troopers also searched the MV Kitsap, which had left Bremerton and arrived in Seattle, Johnson said. As of 3:30 p.m., the Kitsap was still in Seattle because there was no room for it at the Bremerton dock.

The Coast Guard received a call for help from state officials shortly after 1:30 p.m. and dispatched a 25-foot response boat from Station Seattle, Petty Officer Jeff Pollinger said. The boat arrived on scene about 10 minutes later and established a 300-yard security zone around the ferry, he said.

On Monday morning, state officials closed the Edmonds-Kingston ferry route after a bomb threat -- in the form of a note -- was found in a bathroom of the MV Spokane. But investigators found no explosives.

Yet at the same time, a visitor to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo, and Macedonia encountered unmistakable evidence that extremist intruders are opening a Balkan front in the global jihad.

Wahhabis endangering Serbia
April 4, 2007

Four members of an ultraconservative Muslim sect, known as Wahhabis, have been arrested following a raid on a mountain terrorist training camp in the Rashka region of south-western Serbia on March 18. A large supply of weapons, ammunition, hand grenades, facemasks and plastic explosive with detonators was also discovered at a cave at Ninaja Mountain, 30 kilometres from Novi Pazar.

A judge ordered the four to be detained for 30 days to allow police and intelligence officials to investigate their alleged activities at the training site. Dragan Jocic, the Serbian interior affairs minister, said: “We are determined to prevent any form of violence and terrorism. We are continuing to comb the terrain and search for other members of the group.”
