Problem is, we continue to receive reports like this over and over again, our troops risk their lives to capture these iranian forces and.......we don't do anything about it except have a press conference, take post a few jpegs of he weapons, and then its off to hump another patrol. Something is broken here, or maybe we are just lacking the 'will' when it comes to Iran.

Yeah, no kidding. If we aren’t going to do anything about it, what’s the point?

We've been at war with Iran since 1979.

Let's get it over and done.

General Pace and everyone else in the administration continually says that “there is no proof” that the Iranian GOVERNMENT is behind this. Maybe it’s rogue terrorists or independent factions. In other words, “We don’t want to know.”

Nonsense, of course, but they stick by it. I presume that Pace is only saying what he has been ordered to say.

The West lacks the will. Nothing will be done about Iran until they nuke someone.

The EFP is a form of roadside bomb in which the detonation of an explosive charge inside a steel tube causes a copper disk to deform into a fist-sized chunk of supersonic molten metal that can scythe through armoured vehicles.

It is not "molten". If it were molten it could not penetrate steel, it would just splash like water. It does not "burn" its way through armor either. It travels at anywhere from 1km/s to 3km/s and it's force (remember F=MA) is such that it pushes its way through armor.

The problem is, what do they do when they catch them?
Put them in a “prison” that’s closer to being the Hilton than anything these scum have lived in before?

What they should be doing is shooting them on the spot and sticking their heads up on posts as an object lesson to others.

Every time an EFP is used, we need to bomb a target in Iran - clandestinely.

Say nothing. Acknowledge nothing. Just destroy a military barracks, or an air base, or a Command and Control center, or the presidential palace. Make sure there are plenty of personnel killed or injured.

They will get the message.

Fact is there is no easy solution to Iran currently - Furthermore there is hardly even an adequate military solution......In that until Iraq is capable of defending itself (mainly internally) dealing with Iran in a direct shooting war could be very likely more trouble then it is worth....(I.E. gained benefits from doing such in the short term).

Lastly, when you have GOP base who at the drop of a hat will recklessly and foolishly put a few domestic issues above the WOT .....As they did in 06......You have even less real options when it comes to dealing with Iran.

The foolishly one issue voters in the GOP base blew it big time in 06.....They are as much to blame as is the DEMs for our current situation (politically and with Iran).

This POTUS couldn't get this CONGRESS to declare war on IRAN if they hit us with a NUKE tomorrow.

Politically he might as well be in a coma.

The problem is not that "we" aren't doing anything about it. We are arresting people as we find them, etc. What more can we do? The problem is that Iraq isn't doing anything about it.

Iran, a neighbor state of Iraq, is allowing weapons smuggling, and "training" killers, to infiltrate into Iraq to murder civilians.

This is an act of war. Iran is waging war against Iraq. Iraq is not acting like they recognize this. That is the real problem.

Absolutely correct. Imagine if WWII were fought like this?

'We are getting more reports that confirm Berlin and Tokyo are the sources for fighter planes that keep bombing cities all over Europe and the Far East. The debate continues in Washington and London whether the Allies should attack those Axis capitals for fear of reprisals ....'

— we don’t do anything about it —

Evidently it’s not the top mullahs that are guilty here.
It’s Ayatolliver Northzadeh and his dastardly rogue gang, running a covert operation from the Qom Palace basement/sark

Two facts:

1) Persia has been at war with us since November 4, 1979. The mullahs are the ones who control literally everything. To include Ahmanutjob.

2) Mookie al-Sadr still lives.

Solution: Fill in the blank (_________). Hint, it's 8 letters with a space.

The first one who answers correctly gets a trip Disney World.

And no, you're not going to Disney World.

When you are fighting a politically correct war you have to let things like this slide.

We need to form and arm an insurgent force to go after the Iranian govt. Then arm them with the EFPs we capture and anything else we dig up in Iraq.

IIRC, a declaration of war is supposed to come from Congress.

You think the Democrat Congress is going to stand up to Iran?

Do you believe it is okay for the President to start a war against a country on his own?

We have some very hard days, months and years ahead because we didn’t fight to keep Congress in 2006.
