They are using newer images of Google Earth to look for Steve Fossett. Maybe we could do that??
Google Earth is a free program available on the internet. I already have it on my computer.
More people could help if they could do it on their computers. Some people have physical problems or are out of the area. This way they could search at any hour.
Accusing the parents doesn’t make any sense in this case.
They are accused of killing Madeleine, hiding her body for a month (during which no one noticed a bad smell), and then putting her in a rental car to dispose of her body.
I think it would be very hard to hide a body so good that local police can’t find it. Especially hard since the parents are in a foreign country.
I went to visit my sister near Phillipsburg. She said they thought they had seen both women at a Sunoco at the corner of route 49 and route 40. This would have been last spring. They reported it to police at the time.
Odd that both this possible sighting and the one in Effingham, Illinois were both along route 40.
Well, Mary Ellen and Ada have been found. Although we do not have all the details yet, we know that they were found in Carroll County, Kentucky, near Ada’s car, in a very rural area. No foul play is considered at this time.
It appears that they got lost and went down a country lane that ended as a logging road on an abandoned farm. They got stuck and apparently waited there for help which didn’t come to them.
Ada was found 600 yards from the car and my mother in law was found at the car. The family was told that they were under tree cover which made searching by air impossible. The area was private property which was not searched on the ground. They were found by a local deer hunter.
I personally want to thank everyone for their prayers, advice and well wishes. Your replies and personal messages kept me energized to continue searching and thinking of new ways to keep the story in the minds of those who could help. Again, thank you all. I will post more information as is comes in.
Ada and Mary Ellen were found today. Sadly, they were deceased. The skeleton remains still need to be identified, but the car was found nearby. Thankfully they do not believe that foul play was involved. The story is on wcpo.com.

Yes, very sad, but hopefully the family can have some peace and a proper burial.
My condolences for your loss, from a fellow SW Ohioan.

I’m very disheartened by the outcome here. My family will say a prayer for yours tonight.
This is very sad news. My prayers go out to you and your family. Please know that I thought of these two women often and hoped beyond hope that they would be found all right.
I am very sorry for your loss. Best wishes and blessings to you and your family.
We pray for your comfort now in this time of your loss. May you look to Heaven and find them there, at Home in the arms of Our Father...
Thank you for letting us know. God bless all of you who loved these women.

I was shocked to read about these two ladies in the news this morning. I had hoped they would be found safe. I will keep their family in my prayers at this difficult time
Thank you to the hunter that found them.
I hadn’t heard....I’m so very very sorry for you and yours.
Am so sorry to hear this. They have been in my thoughts since I first read about this.
Prayers.
