Well, Mary Ellen and Ada have been found. Although we do not have all the details yet, we know that they were found in Carroll County, Kentucky, near Ada’s car, in a very rural area. No foul play is considered at this time.
It appears that they got lost and went down a country lane that ended as a logging road on an abandoned farm. They got stuck and apparently waited there for help which didn’t come to them.
Ada was found 600 yards from the car and my mother in law was found at the car. The family was told that they were under tree cover which made searching by air impossible. The area was private property which was not searched on the ground. They were found by a local deer hunter.
I personally want to thank everyone for their prayers, advice and well wishes. Your replies and personal messages kept me energized to continue searching and thinking of new ways to keep the story in the minds of those who could help. Again, thank you all. I will post more information as is comes in.
My condolences for your loss, from a fellow SW Ohioan.
I’m very disheartened by the outcome here. My family will say a prayer for yours tonight.
This is very sad news. My prayers go out to you and your family. Please know that I thought of these two women often and hoped beyond hope that they would be found all right.
I am very sorry for your loss. Best wishes and blessings to you and your family.
Thank you for letting us know. God bless all of you who loved these women.

I hadn’t heard....I’m so very very sorry for you and yours.
Am so sorry to hear this. They have been in my thoughts since I first read about this.
Prayers.
May God grant you His comfort as we hope He has to the ladies.
Thank you for letting us know what happened to these two dear ladies. It is so sad. My condolences to you, and to the families of both women. May their beautiful souls rest together in heavenly peace.
I am so, so sorry. I saw this on the news the other day. I am glad that they did not fmeet with foul play, however this is heartbreaking.
Best to you and your family. Hugs.
I am sorry it turned out this way.
Missing an exit is such a common mistake. All of us have done it at sometime.
There are so many missing people who are never found. We need to improve our methods of searching for those missing.
Best wishes,
