WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Rep. Duncan Hunter called Wednesday for Sen. Harry Reid to resign his post as Senate majority leader over remarks that the senator made last week that the war in Iraq "is lost" if the United States continues on its current policy.
Hunter, a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, is the ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee.
"In my opinion Sen. Reid, having made that statement, which can only have a demoralizing effect on our troops and an effect of encouragement of the adversary, I think it would be appropriate for Sen. Reid to resign his position as the leader of the United States Senate," he said.

You are so right. I emailed my Senator Richard Lugar about Reid's statement. But, as usual, he is still looking for his pair. No reply from him..no public statement condemning Reid.
Maybe if the Republican senators were flooded with emails demanding that Reid step down they would be compelled to repeat Hunters’s words!
About time a REPUBLICAN made that comment -- I've been saying the same thing ever since listening to Reid's comment.
Shoot, let's not wimp out on this, but keep the pressure up on Reid, until he resigns or is censured.
I would also very much like to see an investigation into his background, and see what sort of connections he has to terrorist organizations. I'm sure he's on somebody's payroll...

Minus of course, the amount he needs for "re-imaging". LOL
