No newspaper would ever dare depict the Supremes as Jewish Rabbis nor as Muslim Imams, yet they can get away with the Catholic Bishop look.

Neither would be correct, frankly, but I get your point.
It was my experience that the Left will use any racial, religious hatred or social bigotry to the fullest when it suits “the common good”.

Well, that's not terribly funny.
What'd make it better was if Justice Thomas was in black face, like they did to Michael Steele...

Now THAT's funny!

When one runs out of things to say, the next step is to just pick an easy target. I mean, really, they couldn’t attack any substance of the actual ruling because PBA is so repulsive. It’s lazy and very revealing of a the intellectual abyss that liberals wallow in.

It is truly a sad day in America, when the taking of human life is so accepted as another right. And when making fun of Christians is accepted as right and just.
Isiah 5:20 Doom to you who call evil good and good evil, Who put darkness in place of light and light in place of darkness, Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! 21 Doom to you who think you're so smart, who hold such a high opinion of yourselves! 22 All you're good at is drinking - champion boozers who collect trophies from drinking bouts 23 And then line your pockets with bribes from the guilty while you violate the rights of the innocent. If the left so desperately wanted to keep the church out of the state and out of the SCOTUS, then they would have to ban people of ALL faiths (Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, etc) and all Christian denominations from becoming justices.
That would leave Athiests as the only people qualified.
Liberals are Stupid.

Using this logic, it would be just as valid to paint devil horns on the other 4 justices.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia, which covers the city of Philadelphia and four suburban counties, counts 1,486,058 Catholics, or 38.4% of the total estimated population of the area, per Wikipedia. If even a large minority of these Catholics were to boycott the newspaper and its advertisers, it would apologize for the offensive cartoon very quickly. Since the newspaper business is in decline throughout the country, the newspapers are more vulnerable than others to boycott pressures. No doubt many of the most conservative Catholics in the archdiocese have dropped their subscription, but boycotting major advertisers of the newspaper is still leverage they hold.
The liberal media must be taught that their advertising revenue is in jeopardy if they choose to diss religious and political conservatives.

The Inquirer was a paper I read from the ‘40’s till the ‘60’s when I moved to Ca. The Bulletin was my fave. But, both papers were decidedly liberal and only The Daily News there has any opposite opeders in debate. Odd that there are so many Roman Catholics in Pa. and Philly and yet the paper gets away with this bias. When will these dummies understand that Dems run the paper, the city and the state and they are the ones who are behind this bias???
To: NYer
Despicable toon ... and so telling of the paper and the readers who value it.

I don’t get this one. Where you define the beginning of life is a philosophical question, not a religious one. As far as I can tell, the Bible does not address this question, and there are plenty of pro-life athiests.

I don't understand the stance of some pro-choice folks on this issue. What does any religion have to do with banning this procedure? It is barbaric and is nothing more than a way to get a dead baby....retroactive birth control.
Even Dem pro-choice advocates voted to pass this measure in Congress and the Supremes did the right thing by declining to rule on it.
Any human being with an ounce of brain matter and anything close to a conscience should be outraged that such a practice has ever been performed in this country.
Burning at the stake is more humane.
