The Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia, which covers the city of Philadelphia and four suburban counties, counts 1,486,058 Catholics, or 38.4% of the total estimated population of the area, per Wikipedia. If even a large minority of these Catholics were to boycott the newspaper and its advertisers, it would apologize for the offensive cartoon very quickly. Since the newspaper business is in decline throughout the country, the newspapers are more vulnerable than others to boycott pressures. No doubt many of the most conservative Catholics in the archdiocese have dropped their subscription, but boycotting major advertisers of the newspaper is still leverage they hold.

The liberal media must be taught that their advertising revenue is in jeopardy if they choose to diss religious and political conservatives.

Utterly disgusting. So are roving mobs of Catholic “youths” going to go out and riot now?

But seriously.... That supporters of PBA are so void of souls that they do not take into consideration the fact that full term babies get scissors stuck into the back of their heads is frightening to me. And that these people have high positions in government should make us all fear for the future.
