Giuliani as the GOP presidential nominee would be a dagger in the heart of the conservative movement (and a knife in the back).

There you go again, dragging out the Hillary bogeywoman.
Liberals in blue states are not going to vote for him. They'll vote for the RAT!
Please extrapolate on the consequence free environment that is resultant from a Hillary presidency, especially in terms of the War on Terrorism.
I am not here to advocate for Giuliani, I am here to advocate unity behind whoever is the Republican nominee, something I never thought would be controversial at this forum.
Reagan benefited from a weak and dimwitted opponent (a luxury we are unlikely to have in 2008) to get liberal Massachusetts and 48 other states to vote for him.
The 2000/2004 political boundaries are not set in stone, and it is foolish to think that a different candidate will not appeal to different voters.
But my main point is that “electability” is not always a good thing, and I for one think we can do a lot better and still win.
(4/16) If Fred Thompson officially joins the race for president who would you support?
I'll go with Fred
69.2%
Other
12.1%
I'm solid with Rudy
10.5%
Undecided/pass
8.2%
Now if only he'd throw his hat in ring!
I'm glad J.R. posted this. I read about 1500 or so replies from the one he posted yesterday and I wish he would just say right up front how he feels about Rudy, instead of being so vague.
Bump
Giuliani would better serve America in New Orleans or Miami, but it’d take Conservatives at least a decade to over the damage Giuliani would inflict if he were put in Washington.
His personal views are what would give the Rats and easy walk into the WH.
NJ will vote Rat in the general election and there is ZERO chance that a anti gun, pro abortion Republican could carry OH and PA.
Sad to say, it appears that this is already happening.
You better read Rudy’s testimony to the grand jury about Bernie Kerik’s mob connections and then get back with us about Rudy’s “Honesty”.
Covering for them and lying about it does.
” Rudy is a no-brainer”
That much of your post is true...lol
Very true. His whole campaign so far, down to the lowest level, has been dishonest. They like to rearrange and skirt around the truth about Rudy. People are lying and twisting Rudys record constantly. Lets face it, to sell Rudy one has to browbeat, skip over the parts of Rudys record, and become a disingenuous spinmeister.
I would hardly call that honest, and it is sad people have to lower themselves for a GOP candidate.
.
We couldn’t agree more! Great THREAD!
Why in the world would we want to cross our fingers and hope that a liberal appoints originalists to the bench when there are real conservatives running who we can depend on to appoint them?
Why should we believe for a second that any president would knowingly appoint justices/judges who have philosophies that are the polar opposite of their own?
Which liberal? Hillary or Rudy?
