A YACHT has been found drifting off the north Queensland coast with computers running and even food on a table ready to eat - but no crew.
Police said the men, aged 56, 63 and 69, were believed to have left Airlie Beach on Sunday for Western Australia.

People's Republic of China Submarine.
They will be found in Beijing after being re-educated about getting in the way of a Chinese submarine.
Dropped their anchor right on the conning tower.
G'day Mate!

I’m thinking they were either boarded and kidnapped or blown overboard during a waterspout. The torn sail would support the latter. It might also be an insurance scam but I think they need either bodies or witnesses.

To stratergerist.
I bet you couldn’t put your finger on where this boat was found on a map with a gun held to your head.
Pirates float around on Boats, and boats move around in the Seas....
Point to a map right now and tell us exactly where the pirates are you Retard.

If it were pirates, why would the fenders be out? Pirates would be uninvited, and their arrival would most likely be a sudden one, so why would the yacht's crew accommodate the pirates with fenders? It would seem to me that whoever came along side was expected.
Also, as others have noted, why would the pirates not take valuable electronic gear such as radios and computers from the yacht. If their intent was to kidnap the crew for ransom, why has no demand been made?

but it would be nice to know if this picture was taken before or after the ship was boarded. I think it's a stock sailboat photo. You can tell because they didn't hoist the mizzen mast. Land ho!

It was Davey Jones and the flying Dutchmen! They’ve been forced to join his crew as slaves!

You’d be surprised at how many people actually understand the reference....

I agree with your points, but sheesh, lay off with the personal abuse of Strategerist.

Wasn’t Davey Jones one of the Monkeys (60’s TV/Singing groups)?

Next, there is no dinghy or liferaft. Here is a pic from a different angle, that apparently is dinghy hanging off of the back.
