Contact GOP In Congress Regarding Harry Reid Treasonous Statement
April 19 2007 | jveritas

Posted on 04/19/2007 6:52:34 PM PDT by jveritas

Dear fellow freepers

For over four years the democrats and their media have been working very hard on defeating us in the war on terror and they have been providing aid and comfort to our enemies in each opportunity they can. However today Harry Reid the leader of the democrats in the US Senate said “The War In Iraq Is Lost” and by doing so he brought the giving of aid and comfort to the enemy to a total new level.

We should not waste our times calling a traitor like Harry Reid or his cohorts in the democrat party, those people are lost, we need to urge the Republicans in Congress and some of the very few and patriotic democrats to stand up for the fight of their life. Stand up for our troops, stand up for the nation. Stand up for victory in the war so we can preserve our freedom and our way of life.

We need to send them thousand and tens of thousands of e-mails, call their offices, and ask them to stand up to treason in Congress and say “Enough is Enough treason will not stand, defeat will not stand, we will fight this war and we will win this war”.

I know that many on this forum think that many Republicans in Congress are afraid to take this stand, but I strongly disagree. The vast majority of Republicans in Congress and few good democrats will stand up and fight, however they need our support and encouragement.

Each one of us should compose a brief and concise e-mail asking the many good patriots in Congress to stand up for the traitors and those who are providing aid and comfort to the enemy. Send the e-mail to as many Republicans and “good democrats” Congress people as you. I will compose mine and send it tomorrow.

God bless our troops. God bless the Great patriots in the nation and Congress. God bless President Bush.

God bless America.

I, too, sent an email to Reid. Began to send one to McConnell since I didn’t hear him on TV denouncing Reid’s comment. But, he does have comment on his website. More Republicans need to get TV time to denounce Reid’s comment.

I also called Congressman Adam Putnam, Fla, to compliment him for speaking out against Reid’s disgraceful comment.
Putnam is a GOOD GUY....seen him several times on Fox news standing up for the President’s policies.

You know you are asking the impossible at this moment. We should start somewhere and this somewhere is by first to start telling them that they are traitors who are providing aid and comfort to the enemy.

They had the misfortune to call my home today for donations. Yes, they got an ear full!!!! This will not get any better until we speak up and make the RNC start supporting the best candidate instead of the incumbent.

Making a change in the bylaws would be a major task but in this day and age we have to demand that a backbone be found.

Sad. Truly sad that the RATS have done this to our great nation. I’m saddened also by the lack of action by the Republicans.

Have a look at this and perhaps it will help:

The tone on these threads has become so negative, I have almost given up trying to post on freerepublic. Have fun...

Do not give up, we need to fight the negativism and defeatism on FR that is being propagated by a small but vocal minority.

Do you really think the likes of Warner, Hagel, Snowe et al. are going to speak out on this treason?

The Senate club values its collegiality more than American security. Reid will actually be rewarded by this - it’s already started in the MSM. I’ll be surprised if more than 5 Republicans join McConnell in expressing outrage.

Sorry jveritas, but these posts are reflecting a sad reality, not despair. They have seen this act for years.

Not only will the Republicans not do anything the MSM will not report this. Fox News has it on their website but not a mention on CNN website.

Good job! Here’s my email Dingy Harry..

Mr. Reid, I will be eternally grateful that you were not making decisions during World War 2. Had people like you been in government at that time we probably wouldn’t be pledging allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.

Do you not understand your comment ‘the war is lost’ encourages our enemies and further endangers our troops and innocent Iraqis?

Do you not understand your comments demoralize young men and women who VOLUNTEERED to help protect our country and freedom?

Do you not understand IF the U.S. notifies our enemies of the date we will leave, they will set their alarm to march into Iraq the day after we leave? Do you not understand what the people of Iraq will face if Iran, Al-Queda, Bin Laden, etc take over Iraq?

Do you not understand IF the U.S. does not WIN in Iraq, our enemies will perceive us a very weak nation and will come knocking on our doors in the U.S.?

Mr. Reid, I believe, YOU DO UNDERSTAND which leads me to believe YOU DON’T CARE. Seems what you do care about is yourself and your own agenda...and at the top of your agenda is BRING DOWN GEORGE W. BUSH.

What you and your cohorts should understand, Mr. Reid, is that our enemies respect STRENGTH. Mr. Reid, how about finding some integrity and courage and stand up for these great United States. Statements like ‘the war is lost’ shows weakness and emboldens those who want to kill Americans.....simply because we are Americans. If we ever have to face our enemies on our shores, weak willed and self centered Senators will look for a George W. Bush to help protect them. After all, Senator Reid, you are an American... aren’t you?

Mr. Reid, your comment ‘the war is lost’ is reprehensible and an insult to our military. You should be very ashamed....better yet, you should resign.

I called my two senator’s offices this afternoon and let em have it. I have sent my emails.

I had a venting chat with my Rep’s office...John Mica (Fl) is terrific and I call there about once a month...

After that I had a good talk with some soldiers..who reminded me they vote:)

Some may not speak out but many will if we support them to speak out.

You know you are asking the impossible at this moment.

WHY?

If it is so clear......why have there been no charges filed?

“start telling them they are traitors?”

If someone told me I was a traitor I’d tell them to PUT UP OR SHUT UP and then I would sue them for their public accusations!

C’mon now, why won’t any federal prosecutor bring charges against those whom you claim are traitors??????????

the “war” can be won if the war’s opposition can be proved to be committing treason................right?

I’m not going to waste the cost of the phone calls. The Dems certainly won’t do anything and the GOP does not have the ‘nads to do anything, so, why bother?
