The problem pet foods were made in the US and Canada, but used ingredients from China. So not buying Chinese pet food won’t help.

Something to keep in mind before buying any food stuffs from China. They cannot be trusted to produce safe products if they won’t even allow our inspectors in to see their pet food companies.

Interesting about rice. I fed my cat some IAMS chcken & rice dry for the first time shortly after this pet food poisoning story broke, and she loved it, but barfed it up with voluminous amounts of water hours later.
Never seen her do that before........

Horrible tragedy this. Loved animals getting sick. I just take solace in the fact that I stockpile and rotate my dogs food same as I do my own. Plus the corner grocery store only stocks 2 brands of dry dog food and my neighbors would tell me if they had probs.

They are ISO certified and are have quality control that commercial pet food companies can only dream about. All products are checked for contaminants before and after production by outside testing facilities. Remember dogs and cats are not the only pets that could be affected by contamination.
