I put the blame squarely on the Lutheran Minister. The other speakers were open and talked about their faith but this minister is the one that left out Christ. I also don’t see why people are offended by having a muslim speaker. Christianity is not the state sponsored religion and there’s no reason why a Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, or whatever can’t speak.

The ladies are as much to blame as the guys. America suffers because it no longer fears God, nor does she teach her children to do so. Read Romans 1. That’s who we are today.

This is repulsive!

I agree, but not in the way you may think. There was a thread earlier today where many posters ripped apart the convocation. I predict that this thread will be just as full of religious bigotry and unnecessary rude remarks as well.

Have we sunk so low that people in mourning can't even gather for a convocation without the ultra-righteous indignation posse's showing up?

God bless and provide comfort for the victims, their families and friends, and all of us who mourn the loss of their loved ones in this senseless tragedy.

2 John 1

7Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. 8Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. 9Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him. 11Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work.

**”BUT NOT ONE EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN PASTOR/PREACHER. NO INVOCATION OF THE NAME OF CHRIST JESUS,” the reader said. **

Or a Catholic priest? Virginia is a heavy Catholic area.

My son was born in Lynchburg at Liberty Baptist Hospital, how far is this from this university, why was Jerry Falwell or someone from his church not speaking?

Now if you had a LDS member there I am sure Jesus Christ would have been called upon as the primary source of healing and comfort!

Lynchburg is about an hour and a half away.

We couldn’t even hear the Muslim guy at the stadium. The sound was messed up.

I’m sure the Lutheran minister would not appreciate your suggestion that he “left out Christ”. God was with them all today and His name was spoken.

We obviously didn’t learn a thing. A tragedy on top of tragedy.

I find your comment to be repulsive. Perhaps the mods would be willing to delete your comment if you request it.

>With Pelosi in the House and Hillary lined up to take the White House, welcome to the new America!<

Not to mention Condi Rice quietly urging Israel to give up more territory for peace!!!! Of course she carries the message of the administration. But Pelosi and Hillary are strident Commie crones we do not need to tolerate.

A strange looking woman said that baby elephants are sad. I really didn’t understand what the hell she was talking about. That’s alright though. Neither did she.
