I agree, but not in the way you may think. There was a thread earlier today where many posters ripped apart the convocation. I predict that this thread will be just as full of religious bigotry and unnecessary rude remarks as well.
Have we sunk so low that people in mourning can't even gather for a convocation without the ultra-righteous indignation posse's showing up?
God bless and provide comfort for the victims, their families and friends, and all of us who mourn the loss of their loved ones in this senseless tragedy.
Thank you so much for saying this. These people have the right to the service they want and find meaningful. I will not stand in judgement of it or ridicule it out of respect for the victims of this tragic massacre. I found the words of the Muslim speaker to be quite comforting and well spoken.
Do you mean that it’s inappropriate, in a nation in which the majority of people still identify themselves as Christian, to to wonder why Jesus was not even mentioned at such a time?
