I thought shooting ones self in the face usually resulted a small hole in the face along with powder burns and the back of the head being blown out.
Has anyone accounted for Steven Hatfill’s whereabouts this morning???
I don’t think it’s either. In my own experience asian males can get very violent over there girlfriends. I had a friend in Kansas who was shot and his girlfriend killed because she was cheating on him with my friend. I was told along time ago don’t get between an Asian and his money or his girlfriend.

I don’t know whether to get paranoid about this or not. I think the odds are against it being a terrorist case. But the longer they wait, the more suspicious people are going to get.
I agree. There are several mysteries. Was there one shooter or two? Were the shooters connected? If it was one guy who left the campus and then returned, why didn’t they do more to warn people and send in police? The New York Times article says that the shootings took place over a period of three hours.
If the shooter was suicidal over his girlfriend, and if his first visit was to the dorm where she lived, why were the police unable to identify him by asking other students in the dorm who the Asian boyfriend was?
I gather the FBI has been brought in, and they have done nothing for the past ten years and more but cover up and bury evidence. We wouldn’t know that the Norman stadium suicide bombing was a terrorist incident if the local papers hadn’t gotten on top of it before the FBI had a chance to sweep it all under the rug.
Suicidal boyfriends I can understand. But what’s the psychological explanation for someone who comes in, shoots a couple of people, leaves, picks up more weapons, comes back, and then starts mowing people down at random? It just doesn’t make any sense. But it DOES fit the pattern of Sudden Jihad Syndrome, which involves killing as many people as possible.
Asian? There are plenty of Asian Muslims. I think the odds are against, but I wish the newspapers would do a little investigating on this case, like the folks at the Norman radio station did.
This being Virginia, I’m suprised no one has used the “M” word (Macaca) ...
I wonder the same thing, they won’t even mention race of this disturbed person either. Especially as in an up-roar as this country has been over race and culture since Imus incident.
Another note....
Brian Williams of NBC asked one of the EMTs a typical dumb-arse Williams type question. “And i suppose you and your team have never imagined having to deal with this type of situation...”
The EMT corrected him without calling him a dumb-arse that they routinely train for these exact scenerios.
That just complicates matters, along with no ID. I just want them to get it right. And I’m sure they do too.
Or could be one heck of a coincidence that two separate multiple murders happened in one day at a normally peaceful college campus.
Cable reporting that Justice Dept. investigating whether the murderer may be a 24 year old Chinese national here on a student visa since last August.
I’d heard on the news that the FBI got to the campus quickly. Also, it would have to be a heck of a coincidence for two separate shootings on that campus NOT to be related. The police must’ve thought that the first incident was an isolated domestic disturbance of some kind, but I also heard that no weapon was recovered at that scene. I just heard that the “person of interest” knew one of the victims in the first shooting. I agree with you, it’s very strange that the feds got involved so quickly, AND that the shooter had no ID on him AND shot himself in the face, making it even harder for identification. At any rate, prayers for the victims and their families, this is absolutely horrible!
