I learned all I know from the “Petronski School of How to Argue Successfully”

A diploma like that and six bits will get you a Krispy Kreme.

Just noticed your post. What school massacre are you referring to from the ‘30’s-40’s? I think you have some bad facts.

Not bad facts, just bad memory - 1947 was sticking in my mind (Texas City explosion) when in fact it was 1927: Bath School Disaster.

I feel sad for the victims and their families. Such a horrible crime.

absolutely- i was just informed that one of the girls killed grew up in my town (in new york state) - i was told she was the girl in the dorm, but i am not sure of the validity of that- i did not know her, but am told that she was a kind sweet lovely person who will be horribly missed by her family and friends- pray for them!

Do you guys think 'resident aliens' should be allowed to purchase a handgun in this Country?
And how long can one be a 'resident alien'?
This guy was here for 14 years, I read.
I don't get that.

Some people envision a world at peace.

I long for a hot FR thread where nobody is desperately trying to become the center of attention by posting provocative drivel.

It's a shame the mods don't consider spamming worthy of their attention. It's making FR less and less useful for those of us who are trying to research the topics.

problem is, there is no place to focus anger, unless it is on the inactions of the president and police training.

I hope the university’s E & O insurance is paid up.

The people I also feel sad for is the south korean parents of the murderering assassin. Most south korean families come to the U.S., work hard, and spend a lot of money on their kids to go to college. And now to have 32 families destroyed, for nothing. and another 22 with serious gun shot wounds. With the koreans that I grew up with in the U.S., everything was work work work, college, college, college. maybe something was left out. maybe too much GTA?

could be they didn’t WANT to leak his identity

You're darn tootin'

Having a bunch of media types start running down friends, witnesses, and gun shops wouldn't have been particularly helpful to the investigation.

Many of our fellow posters seem to have come to the conclusion that, because they hadn't heard a piece of information, the cops also didn't know it. On a closed crime scene, the media finds out what the cops want them to know WHEN the cops want them to know it.

Just speculation on my part.

Cho returned to his dorm room after the first shooting to regroup, reload, prepare, write a note and search the university web site for his next victim. Reports indicate Professor Herr Bishop was his next victim. What grievance Cho held against Prof. Bishop is unclear. Perhaps bad grades. Perhaps Cho was planning to go for his Master's, and Prof. Bishop was an obstacle.

The receipt for the gun purchase was left in his backpack inadvertently. I believe Cho forgot it was there. He had defaced the serial no.s to create a "drop piece." At some point Cho must have planned to use his weapons for some "hit" he would survive and that would involve discarding the gun(s). That is why he tried to make them untraceable.

Will be interesting to learn when Cho purchased additional magazines, and he must have had plenty. At that time Cho changed his plans from conducting an assassination operation he survived to a suicidal mass murder.

“By the looks of his picture he did. Has that hatred in his eyes.”
How can you tell? He has the same look as the guy who makes moo goo gai pan at our local restaurant.

And I'll bet he hates every minute of it.

I think he thinks they’re “charlatans” for being happy, accepted, having friends, etc., while he’s alone. As for the debauchery, he’s been left out of the drinking, pot-smoking and sex, another reason they are “charlatans”, they’re not pure.

Questions remain after worst U.S. shooting rampage

Parents Demand Firing of Virginia Tech President, Police Chief Over Poor Handling of Mass Shooting

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name' sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.
