However, it strikes me that, as far as the people who are commenting on how horrible women are treated, and especially black women's treatment in rap music, it would be better for Imus to stay on the air, because then he would be that walking, talking symbol of the problem. Since he got fired, he and the noise level about him will fade away, and so will the pontificating on how women are treated.
One more - as much as people want to blame the white record company executives or the black singers, they are just trying to make a buck, which is a time-honored tradition in this country. The problem lies with the people who are willing to spend money for this stuff. If there was not an audience, there would not be a product.
I watched Timmy. I will predict Imus will be back, the left can’t afford to loose him.
Gwen was utterly and righteously pissed. And then the talk turned to rappers, of which she claimed utter ignorance. One of guests, sitting next to Gwen made the remark “It’s ok to kick the underdogs...” He was speaking of rapper smackdowns of the real hos, I guess?
It was awesome trying to see them NOT knaw on each other while tripping over each other.
One even said it wasn’t fair to accuse Jesse and Al of being self appointed spokesman, when the MEDIA CALLS THEM ALL DAY LONG FOR THEIR OPINIONS.
Only one really had a clear pic of the situation, he was sitting on Timmy’s right. Otherwise, it was clear
1. they either don’t have a clue what’s going on in the hood or in mainstream America
2. they’re hypocritical capitalist hos who looked the other way because rappers were making lots of money
3. they’re hypocritical closet misoginysts wrapped in the white sheets they just stole from Imus’ bed
4. they’re really just pissed because Imus elevated the status of black women and beat them to it because Jesse and Al are always too busy screaming racism to bother elevating the status of black women
5. all of the above

Webb keeps saying that the President’s plan in one dimensional...and even though their supplemental bill calls for withdrawal of troops to start 120 days after the sigining of the bill...it does NOT call for timetable???
Webb says that by doing the dems’ plan, it would free us up to take care of the worldwide war, it would free us up to build back our reputation with the world....blech
And this is why I am still (after questioning this for years) suspicious about how many Chinese immigrants wind up here and where they get their money to set up restaurants and why they concentrate in certain areas. In addition, why are there so many YOUNG MEN showing up here from China?

You know Richardson is Moveon, Koshacks new hero. They were upset with Edwards & angry with Obama about immediate troop withdrawal. Fun is on their poll, Hillary comes 5th behind Kucinich.
Oh...I saw the last few minutes of the Specter visit with Stephy...and Specter said that Gonzo needs to bring them HIS case for EACH of the US Attorneys that were fired..
THEN he needs to go through EACH case, and show them why they were fired..and JUSTIFY their firing.
THEN, if he can’t prove the firing was JUSTIFIED..then REINSTATEMENT would be in order....

Specter knows that the Executive Branch is not obligated to the Congressional Branch to justify its legal action in dismissing political appointees.
