MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Retired Gen. Anthony Zinni.

THIS WEEK (ABC): New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson; Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa.; comedian Rich Little.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Walter Mondale, former vice president; Sens. Wow, Lindsay Graham looks like he had a makeover. Silky pony gone bad.
I disagree, Blu.
In the days before this bruhahah, both Trump and Russert stumped for her to appear on Imus. They were nearly begging him. He flatly refused.
Imus also made the mistake of making Schmuckie look like the complete fraud that he is.
Then Media Matters (think Paul Begala) targets Imus in a full court press.
Just a coincidence?
CIA were out to get Scooter Libby and his boss, Vice President Dick Cheney. Libby, though not the original leaker of the identity of CIA employee Valerie Plame, was convicted of lying and obstructing justice. "It makes me mad as the devil just to think about it," Thompson says. He had never met Libby when he volunteered to serve on the advisory board of the Scooter Libby Legal Defense Trust. Is Libby innocent? Thompson answers with one word. "Yes."
These last emboldened sentence made me respect him more.
Too true. He thought he was allowed to say and do as he pleased.
I just watched a few minutes with Michael Seheuer on C-Spam. I really like that guy. He is the former CIA head of the Bin Laden unit and he always makes good sense to me.
YOu can award me a tin foil hat if you wish.
Recall her husband blaming the bombing of the OK City bombing on “hate radio”.
Right. These are the same people attacking our President 24/7, who even hire people to write “their” diary who in turn steal the stuff from others.
LOL
You forget the big photo I’d pasted on Tony’s thread of Nancy Pelosi. First thing. LOL
I’m watching Lindsey Graham on FNC. He’s doing okay
I see Wallace did Levin’s job for him, throwing at Graham all of the “failures” of the Iraq government to meet benchmarks.
Watching Zinni on MTP right now..
He is disgraceful...saying the ONLY chance we had was adopting the Baker/Hamilton report..and that is gone now.!
pfffffffft
I just wanted to give you my take on the past week, as I have been soliciting comments from my friends and neighbors with respect to the whole Imus controversy.
It would seem from where I live, that there is a growing risk of a backlash, which could benefit the nation as a whole. People I talk to are really sick of being dictated to by a couple of race-huslers, and when you combine the previous week with what is going on/not going on in Congress, people are getting a preview of what life will be like under Democrat rule, and not liking it at all.
My own thought is that Imus is just the Dixie Chicks in reverse, and that we appear hypocritical in trying to protect him. Let the Dems kill him off, he was their spokesperson, not ours. Good riddance.
Rush and Hannity are in no danger, for the simple reason that they both make huge sums of money for their advertisers, and that is simply more important than any percieved hate-speak by the professional victim class.
As for Rush, he is the owner of the EIB network, and could only fire himself. There is no place for Media Matters or the others to go to complain about Limbaugh, so nothing to fear there.
People I speak with are angry, and ready to express their rage at the ballot box, which is the only thing that counts. I think all and all, it was a bad week for Democrats, because they and their media friends reminded the country of what Democrats, liberals and the victim-class really stand for. I don't think we should fight them, and as Rush always says, we should just let Liberals be liberals, and that is enough to keep them out of power.
On another note, I still say Fred Thompson is not going to run for President, that Dems will fizzle out on Iraq and Bush will win after the veto, and the latest Karl Rove flap will go nowhere.
I think we should all just sit back and relax, and let the Democrats hang themselves.
But he’s making Levin uncomfortable even still. Low tolerance for diversity.
Carl Levin looks like Humpty Dumpty.
Dawdling! What a flaming [rhymes with glass bow]
Levin has zero credibility when he says that VP Cheney has zero credibility.
If he had no credibility, than why do Dems fear him?
Hokey Smoke! McCain makes Levin squirm, and McCain isn’t even there!
