I see this as a Hilary hit, not to just get rid of Imus, but to neutralize him so that polticians and pundits and media people whose opinions could adversely affect her campaign will be afraid to go on with Imus.

Yeah, he does have the right. If this guy called either of my daughters a nappy headed ho, I'd simply laugh and continue contemplating my naval.  My daughters are damn sure not defined by Don Imus, nor any other pinheaded radio/TV personality.

My girls would take no offense at the comment, nor the fact that I didn't go to battle over their dignity. Simply because their dignity isn't something Don Imus knows anything about.

If I heard a white man call my daughter a "nappy headed ho" I'd have no doubt in my mind that it was said in jest.  Now if he called her a "nappy headed whore" I may pause for a moment, but only to conjure up what the hell he meant by "nappy."  Afro hair, diaper head, sleepy head or Napoleon.
