O'Reilly & Geraldo Almost Come To Blows
Mediabistro.com ^ | Thursday, Apr 05 | Unknown

Bill O'Reilly and Geraldo Rivera had one of the most heated war of words I've ever seen on cable news Thursday.

An illegal immigrant was charged in the drunk driving death of two girls in Virginia Beach recently. Oliver Willis says Geraldo "called out O'Reilly's xenophobia for exactly what it was. This drove Bill O'Reilly insane. I was almost certain he was going to reach across the table and hit Geraldo."

The most vicious part is on YouTube:

A minute later, after O'Reilly abruptly changed the subject because time was running out ("what are you doing on your show this weekend?"), Geraldo said: "I think that one of the wonderful things about our network is that we are fair and balanced."

"People can decide whether you're right or I'm right. And they will decide that I'm right," O'Reilly responded

My 401K is fully funded by my company, if that is what you mean by a pension. And they match my donations as well.

If you don’t like the 2 million dollar bonuses, you are completely free not to do business with that company. Again, capitalist country and business processes. Your dollar drives the bottom line.

When you dipped your left shoulder, that indicated that you were a little bit angry.

You know, Circuit City was blatant recently in deciding to fire overpaid lower staff so they could hire in lower paid staff. I would not do business with that company as a resolution to my feeling on their doing that. And we are probably seeing the end of that company coming up.

And if you are employed by a company that treats their employees that poorly, you don’t have to keep working for them. Find another job. I worked for a company like that 7 years ago, I moved on and now work for a company that I couldn’t be happier with unless I was employing myself.

No one holds anyone back in this country but themself. I listened to Rush tell a nice young woman the same thing yesterday. She was complaining about being young, and having to make tough decisions and having commitments. And essentially the resolution is that we keep ourselves locked in by our own defined boundaries and fears.

The same thing is happening with the illegals crossing our borders. They are conditioned to believe that they can never change their country, and the US “wants” them, so they come.

And in regards to your state pension, did you pay into that, or am I footing the bill for that through my tax dollars? At least my 401k that I will retire on is funded through private investment and myself and I will not be a burden on my children or their children through tax dollars.

My company is small....and they are pretty good...so far. My last company was HORRIBLE and I finally got out. Jobs are tough in IT when the outsourcing is so prevalant. You like outsourcing? In my last job, 75% of the programmers and testers were 'in' India. We had some FRom India too...but mostly IN INDIA. We emailed alot.
I was lucky enough to be in the (pension) tier where I paid NOTHING into the system. So ...thank you. In about 5 years, I'm going to start collecting.

It is every bit as much about illegal immigration. If the immigration laws were enforced, this would not have happened.

We had an interesting incident involving what I think are probably illegals in the Seattle area, last week. It involved a thirty year old woman who was arrested for driving without a license, who had already been cited for no license once before and maybe a third time. It is uncertain whether the third time was really the woman because she has been posing as a man and the one officier never realized that she was a woman. Anyway this thirty year old she-man had been living with her girlfriend’s parents (who don’t speak English as their native tongue)as the daughter’s eighteen year old boyfriend for a year. The parents claim that they never knew he was a she and that the relationship had turned abusive, but they were unable to extricate themselves. Anyway the she-man has a Hispanic sounding last name, and the parents apparently speak little English, so my guess is that the whole thing is about illegals.

I was waiting for Vince McMahon to show up. They both need to go to wrestling school for acting lessons.

I do not know all of the circumstances of this case, but it is for a fact another tragedy that could have and should have been prevented God Bless those kids family. That being said, I think the laws we have are sufficient. Hopefully I don’t get flamed too bad, but here is what I think some possible solutions are; 1- no border fence(reminds me of the Berlin Wall and other walls or fences remember Reagan's "Tear Down This Wall" this seems to fly in the face of that famous statement), let the border agents and DEA do their jobs as best they can at the border. 2- Why do they come here? Because people hire them! it's where the candy is! We need to go after people who employ illegals, (take away the candy!) and by that I mean anyone who hires them, from the homeowners, farmers, small businesses to Corporations that has them do their yard work, or any other labor in on or around any of their property. When I say go after them I mean when they are caught I would charge them with hiring an illegal, make them pay the prevailing wage (for that area) for whatever work they were performing, pay all taxes that would have been paid everyone else who plays by all the rules, they would also have to pay for their incarceration and deportation! 3- The money collected would go back to the community that was affected be these "traitors" to train welfare "lifers" and folks who do try for gainful employment but cannot afford getting paid less than half of what would normally be paid to do thes jobs. However, there is one thing in this whole illegal alian thing I just cannot seem to grasp, I have turned in illegals to local law enforcement and was told it was not their problem, are they not breaking the law? Isn't that what law enforcement does? ENFORCE the LAW! I was not aware they could choose which laws they could choose to enforce! I received a speeding ticket on the highway by a sheriff, he is not the highway patrol, this should not have been his problem, right? I now wonder what his response would have been if I would have told him that speeding on the highway is not his problem and I know he understands, so I'll see ya later bye bye! I have contacted a couple of local unions and they said their is nothing they could do, but their "trying", they always seem to be having a meeting with county and state representatives about this issue. They all claim possible discrimination, and I told them IT IS! IT DISCIMINATES AGAINST LAW BREAKERS! This is just the beginning, theres more to it, I'm just putting this out as a "feeler" to read what you all think, or not!

Tuned out. If I’d wanted to hear two adults yelling at each other, I’d have stayed married.

The word ILLEGAL has no meaning when it comes to ILLEGAL immigrants. We are aribitraily enforcing laws ... you know what that leads to ... anarchy.

Law on the books NOW are NOT being enforced.

We don’t need “REFORM”.

We need ENDORSEMENT of LAWS ON THE BOOKS, NOW!

Geraldo had a catholic PR father and jewish-american mother and he was raised as a Jew & considers himself Jewish.

He’s dual citizen and has often talked about moving to Israel and going into Israeli politics.

Maybe, thats why he is so blase out illegal immigration. He’s quite wealthy and might move out of the USA for good.

The real question is - why is he on TV? He’s not popular, smart, or good-looking. Everyone thinks he’s a joke. Is this idea of Fox news balance?

Just ignore Fawn. She belongs to the "all Business is Criminal" mindset. Here are their tenants:

"1. THere are only so many things in the world, and somebody is taking my share.

2. All payment for work is underpayment.

3. All business is crime.

. A. Retailers are theives

B. Wholesalers are pimps

C. Manufacturers are slave drivers.

Of course, if running a business is so easy, they could start one themselves, and pay everyone what they are really worth, with 2 million dollar pensions each, all without making a profit.

But it's so much easier just to blame the greedy corporations.

According to Snopes.com the Jerry Rivers/Geraldo Rivera conversion is an urban myth.
