OF course, only a very, very few number of theaters are showing it in 3-D.
They say that by 2009, they think most will be 3-D capable though.

As to Lassater . . the people in the animation department at Disney are overjoyed at getting the old crew out and Lassater and Catmul in.

The glasses look like Drew Cary-type and look like the lenses are slightly gray. I think they produce the effect with polarized light, not different colors. When you look at the screen without them, it looks blurry.

If someone could come up with a story that matched the animation of Happy Feet, they’d have an unbeatable hit movie.

I already met the Robinsons, Jim and Sheila.
Great people with a great family.

What makes it especially great for lovers of animation is that Lassater ordered a split between the Pixar division (who will only do computer animation) and the rest of Disney animation (who will only do traditional animation). It is a win/win for the audience, as well as, in all likelihood, the stock holders.

Hopefully this will end the “part II straight to video” dreck that has been spewing from their animation department.

That is the plan. Lassater dismissed the Toy Story 3 project outright when he took over. The direct to video stuff and all the sequels were very much disliked by the animation crew there.

Is the script in keeping with Disney regulations that mandate the total absence of fathers? ??? Huh ???
Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast, Alladin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles ??? I'm not following you.
Most popular Disney film of the past few years in my house was "The Parent Trap", which obviously wouldn't work without any Dad.

Or dead mothers?
You mean Bambi?
To: Andyman
Both of those were Pixar-produced films. As were the "Toy Story" movies which are the only recent ones that come to mind with a "total absence of fathers". Granted, I haven't seen "Brother Bear" or even the "County Bears" movie.
Pirates of the Caribean is another example of a father and a deceased mother.

is toy story dead or will they be coming up with a new one?
I know there was an elton john “thing” which was canceled because it could not be justified as family friendly.
