Los Gatos man alleged to have 750,000 child porn photos

A Los Gatos man faces 10 years in prison in what law enforcement officials are calling the largest child pornography bust in the Bay Area - more than 750,000 sexual photos of boys found tucked in in ammunition boxes and then buried in the man's backyard.

Michael F. Palmer, 53, covered his buried stash of explicit photos with plywood and plants in the Santa Cruz side of unincorporated Los Gatos, deputies said.

Most of the photographs, Sgt. Robin Mitchell said, came from overseas. But, officers also seized non-pornographic, homemade films of Palmer with local boys at nudist camps in Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties.

A member of several nudist groups and a man who had access to children, Mitchell said Palmer also may belong to the North American Man Boy Love Association, which advocates legalizing sex between adults and children.

Most of the images, according to Mitchell, show young boys engaged in sex acts with other children and adult men.

Spending hundreds of hours processing the evidence and working with a database from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, FBI investigators identified some of the children. Mitchell said there isn't evidence that Palmer knew any of the children pictured in the pornography, but added that officials are concerned he may have molested young boys.

Use whatever method(s) are necessary to find out if he has molested any children. Then put him outside in stocks for 24/7 for a couple of weeks. THEN kill this vermin!

Just the volume alone is astounding.

Those are physical pictures, not files on some hard drive.

Holy c**p! I didn’t know that there was 750,000 photos of that stuff in existence much less in the possession of one person. Sort of creepy when you consider just how extensive this crime is.

Can anyone explain this sentence?
But, officers also seized non-pornographic, homemade films of Palmer with local boys at nudist camps in Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties.
So, what, is it OK for men to hang out with local boys at nudist camps in Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties?

750,000 child porn photos

I thought this photos was going to be on his computer

I seriously doubt the guy has that many paper photos.

He should still be shot at dawn after a fair and very speedy trial

The number of photos seem to be embellished to make it sensentational

Wow... most guys don't keep THAT much porn on hand. 750,000 tot sex pictures??? That's a Guiness Record even for a NAMBLA pervert.

Anybody in the paper biz able to figure out how much “750,000” pictures would weigh? And would it fit into “a couple of ammunition boxes”? I’m with the guy a couple posts earlier who thinks this is a little puffery. Or maybe they’re pulling the old “movie frame” scam, where each second of a film counts as 24 “pictures”.

Well if you take 750,000 photos and assume he looks at them for one minute apiece, that’s 12,500 hours of lechery.
