It's a seriocomedic commentary on the vatuousness and vulgar excesses of American popular culture. Watch it and see for yourself:
LOL! That video is funny. Thanks for posting it.
She has always been a free spirit

If you have to watch the original video, here is the way to do it...
A devastating and deserved shot at Fergie and the plethora of no-talent “stars” being pawned off on the world.
Typical Alanis, imo.
I want to see a rendition of London Bridge next.
I'd prefer Leonard Cohen doing Sexyback
Pinging for at home look-see...
You forgot to mention that Fergie Ferg was little Stacy Ferguson on Kids, Incorporated-- making this parody by Alanis even more perfect.
“Dont feel bad, I made up an entirely new word when I meant to write vacuousness.”
You make good word.
You make good post.
Alanis not make good hump video.
She make very bad.
You good.
Alanis NOT good!!
;0)
Sure, if you have a thing for loudmouthed, uncouth, profane, bitter, malnourished hags who would not spit on you if you were on fire- and who would probably soak you in kerosene and throw the match to begin with. Morrissette is a boring, ill-tempered creature.
Give me a joyful, emotionally-mature woman of noble character and natural charm any day. (And, what do you know... those wonderful attributes are found in abundance in my bride of 18 years. Hooray for me!)
I thought it a good cross between fatuous and vacuous. Both apply.
I have found respect for Alanis (although she is still a flaming liberal-Canadian).
I recently explored the lyrics for this oh so popular group....they are filthy. I think it says volumes about American parents allowing their children to listen to these no talent “sex sells” groups.
The songs you listed are pop country. No steak and potatoes. Just Stavia sprinkled on grape fruit.
Thanks, you’re right! I’ll claim I wrote it on purpose!
My ears dammit
I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry- Hank Williams
Cold, Cold Heart- Hank Williams
Can’t list classics without included Hank.
I'm kind of scratching my head on this one, I don't get it but I guess why not
Xer Ping
Ping list for the discussion of the politics and social (and sometimes nostalgic) aspects that directly effects Generation Reagan / Generation-X (Those born from 1965-1981) including all the spending previous generations are doing that Gen-X and Y will end up paying for.

I haven’t heard lyrics so profound since the heyday of the Spice Girls.
