In a way, I would hope this doesn't become a major story.
Sure, always side with capitalism even over national security.
But I'll concede your point and state that I don't choose capitalism over national security.
Personally, I'd like to think we could survive as a nation by closing our four borders for a few years. The socialists and NAFTAtes would hate it, but it wouldn't bother me ... we have all we need right here on our own turf.
Has anyone looked at India’s arsenal? It’s full of Russian hardware. They also have joint weapon development program with the Russians. If we export these chips and technology to India, who’s to say that it won’t end up on Russian missiles and get exported to Iran?

I’m pretty sure they’d be happy to trade weapons under the table, if the price is right, like Israeli weapon shipments to Iran from 1970s to 1990s:
