The Democrats seem to be setting up a separate government with its own suicidally blind idea of whos a terrorist and who isnt (basically, nobody is), as Nancy Pelosi makes plans to meet with the chinless ophthalmologist of Syria: Speaker Pelosi Traveling to Middle East.
ABC News Jonathan Karl Reports: ABC News has learned Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi plans to visit Syria next week to meet with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad. The visit will make Pelosi the most senior U.S. official ever to meet with President Assad.
Pelosi will be traveling to Syria has part of Congressional delegation. On the trip, she also plans to visit several other countries in the region, including Israel, where she will deliver a speech to the Knesset.
Pelosis visit to Syria would come as the United States has severed high-level contacts with Assads government.
Hope the Syrians aren't stupid enough to take her hostage. It would be like that movie "Ruthless People".
I think this is where PaLucy learns that the arabs want rid of Israel, and she says: "Is that all?"
The "chinless opthamologist." He and Nancy would make a fine couple.
Since when is the Speaker of the House authorized to engage in foreign policy diplomacy? Is she now not only taking over the role of Commander-in-chief, but Secretary of State?
ping
She is not. But the Govmint has not balls.
The State Dept must approve her passport and countries of visitation.
They routinely look the other way for the dems visits to other non-friendlies, ie, Rockefeller to Syria.
If the State refuses the passport, it doesn't happen.
But when was the last time the Executive Branch exercised this authority?
I can't recall.
Can't we all put aside petty partisan bickering and the things that aren't important and concentrate on what is. How much would the Syrians take to keep her? Shouldn't be much.
