Since when is the Speaker of the House authorized to engage in foreign policy diplomacy? Is she now not only taking over the role of Commander-in-chief, but Secretary of State?
She is not. But the Govmint has not balls.
The State Dept must approve her passport and countries of visitation.
They routinely look the other way for the dems visits to other non-friendlies, ie, Rockefeller to Syria.
If the State refuses the passport, it doesn't happen.
But when was the last time the Executive Branch exercised this authority?
I can't recall.
