Oh you're good, Ali! If we all keep up the prayers, Tony's cancer cells don't stand a chance!
Tony, we're pulling (and praying) for you and your family.
My prayers for both you & Tony Snow.
I just returned from a trip and heard the news as I was in my car at a stop light. I grabbed the wheel and yelled "Please God, No!" Then prayed out loud all the way to my destination.
Tony Snow is a class act. He is an incredible human being ang I truly adore him.
My prayers to Tony and his family. May God be with you all and see you thru this. We need you Tony!!
Prayers lifted.
We confess that You are the Lord over everything, including this vulgar disease. We commit Your servant Tony to You, confident that You are the God Who heals, for the Bible tells us that You sent Your Word and healed us and delivered us from our destructions. Father, we stand in the gap for Tony as he recovers from his surgery and we ask You to direct the course of treatment for him. We know that healing is Your children's bread. No good thing do You withhold from those who love You and who walk in communion with You. Thank You for Tony's upbeat and confident spirit, Father. For those who know You and serve You, there is no such thing as bad news. We confess that You work everything for Tony's good and for Your glory. Quicken him, Father, according to Your Word, and allow him to be filled with Your life-giving power. Let it be thus, Lord. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Tony Snow has impressed me for years as one of a select group of Media, and recently Beltway people who is unmistakably genuine and decent, besides being very smart
and discerning. In the car this afternoon, I have heard countless people calling in to O'Reilly confirming those very same feelings, some of them just people on the street who recognized him and requested a picture. And there have also been a number of people calling in with the cheering news that his type of cancer is not necessarily a death sentence, and he COULD live for years to come, not seriously impaired. Let's hope that's true, and Tony does not leave us so soon.
Prayers for Tony. I am sorry to hear it. He certainly does have a good attitude. I am glad you survived and are doing well.
FYI, Flopping Aces has put up some videos of Tony pressers
http://www.floppingaces.net/2007/03/27/tony-snows-cancer-has-returned/index.html
The Funny Questions and Good Answers one had me cracking up.
The David Gregory one and One Week in Tony's World featuring David as well as our favorite diva in the front row, is also hilarious.
Looking at them again, I bet the press were the first ones trying to get to him, partisan or not (hence his "Tell the press, don't bother me" message)... they know he is one of them still, fair and a milestone for journalists.
This is not a death sentence.
Some here seem to think it is, but Tony will likely undergo a biopsy to determine how seriously his liver has been impacted, and if it still has regenerative abilities.
Tony is a great guy and one of the few persons to have worked in the media that I genuinely admire.
Regards Tony, we are all rooting for you, and prayers are up.
Prayers for Tony and family.
I know from my dad's time in the hospital (and the doctors referred to him as the miracle man) that prayers offered up to the throne of grace (Hebrews 10:9) are heard and answered by our Father. It is up to Him to heal Tony, but we can still fervently request HIS healing and trust in His divine purpose and so I pray for Tony Snow...Perhaps too they may use the new adult stem cell research in liver cancer that I just heard Rush talk about on his show.
Prayers are on the way.
My entire family was eating breakfast when we heard this morning on the news. We all just sat there as stunned and horrified as if the President himself had been shot. I don't think any of us had really thought about just what Tony means to us in this household.
All I can say is THANK YOU, sir, for your stellar service to this country. Please know...that in our household, you and your family will be in our prayers while you fight the good fight.
I will start a novena to St. Francis Xavier.
This little Snowflake is standing in a puddle, and it is NOT because of the sun... :*(
Prayers for the Snow Family. Our God is an Awesome God, and I know that Tony puts his trust and his faith in Him. Whatever the outcome (though I am thinking he will BEAT this dreadful disease!) the Lord has Tony in His hands and will never let him go.
One of my favorite passages for times such as these is Matthew 11:28-29:
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Rest in Him, Tony.
