Joe DiGenova was on WS Journal report last night and said that the dems will now look at every single US Attorney and find a way to have a hearing...
IOW...this is a hugh can of worms....and perjury is always a default charge when nothing else is found.
I hope Tony Snow and Karl Rove learn this phrase, "I don't recall"...and say it over and over.
Don't remember where I saw it, probably here on FR, but in a rollicking description of La Plame's histrionics at the hearing, it was remarked that when listening to or responding to the Dems, Plame rolled her eyes up at the corners in the flirty-demure manner of Princess Di. An accompanying photo showed this startling affectation.
When either of the two Republican panel members addressed Val, her face wore the stolid, cow-like expression of a clever but quintessentially nasty little girl wary of having her dream sequence of lies and evasions unravelled by the two grown-ups present who did not find her act either entrancing or convincing.
The denoument for Joe and Val's story is already playing out in the attorneys' offices where her "testimony" is being vetted for presentation during the civil case the Wilsons have initiated against the government, meaning us, the taxpayers, and individuals.
Meanwhile, until the big pay-off they are expecting, the Wilsons' are looking forward to the successful passage of an Act of Congress which will allow Val to begin collecting her pension right away to help pay off the $1.1 million dollar mortgage they have taken out on their New Mexico digs.
I found the details of this real-estate transaction quite intriguing, mostly because of the background and activities of the people who sold the property to the Wilsons.
Too funny! Looks like great minds think alike. BTW, you were right on target with Dodd.
Joe and Val performed the required "services" and will now be well taken care of.
bookmark ping for later
Well....let's pray that Congress gets ONE thing right this year..and denies her, her early pension.
I cringed every time I looked at her...she was so phony, I was embarrassed for her...LOL
HUH?
Think the case will be dismissed or the Wilsons will withdraw it once they become aware of the shoals of information they and their pals with press- passes will be required to divulge during that legal process, the common law's greatest defense against arbitrary indictment, we know as "discovery".
I hope you are right...although I would LOVE to see Valerie and Joe, Russert and Chrissy Matthews on the stand, being grilled by Victoria Toensing..
What a treat that would be for all of us...
Thank you snugs...for posting the special awards.
Thank you for this very special recognition of my humble offering. I shall cherish it.
P.S. You're a sweetheart. b.
I have always thought the case would be withdrawn. It would be insanely self-destructive for the Wilsons to proceed. Then again, lots of strange things have gone on that I never would have expected.
YOU LIKE ME! You REALLY REALLY LIKE ME!!!
Was that a good Sally Fields impression?
Sounds like we should pull out of Minneapolis not Baghdad??
