May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rain fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Why is that a bummer?
Kerry is like the Boston Celtics (or the UCLA) of Gaelic Football. They're perennial champions.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day, from an old eye-talian. You don't have to be eye-rish to celebrate Saint Paddy's Day. Bono Fortuno.

Oh, wait..
That's a better analogy.
Kerry is like the New York Yankees of Gaelic Football. They're perennial champions.

May those that love us, love us.
And those that don't love us, may God turn their hearts.
But if he won't turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles, so we'll know them by their limp!!

Me Grandmother's parents hailed from County Cork, also. Again, probably fleeing the horrible Potato Famine.
I trace my former career as an elected official-ette and my love of politics to my Irish lineage. Most Irish are political, pugnacious, audacious, rebelious, fun and mouthy. They love people and still are voting for the ghosts of FDR and Mayor Daley pere because they loved them more than Irish whiskey.
Of course, unlike most Irish peeples in the big cities, I'm GOP all the way.
That makes me an intelligent Irisher.

Could be ;-)
I have so many First and Second Cousins I can't even count them (My mom had six other brothers and sisters). And those are cousins I know about.
Growing up we had a framed copy of the O'Connor Coat of Arms hung on living room the wall. I think it might be in my crawl space now (That's were we put all the 'stuff to keep' when my mom passed away).
