Obama Echoes Clinton on Morality and Gays (Says Homosexuality Not Immoral)
The New York Times ^ | March 15, 2007

The campaigns of Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton are in sync not only on the geopolitical importance of Selma, Ala., but also on the issue of whether homosexuality is moral or not. This afternoon, the Obama campaign released the following statement: “As the New York Times reported today, I do not agree with General Pace that homosexuality is immoral. Attempts to divide people like this have consumed too much of our politics over the past six years.”

I guess we will find out just how "Christian" America is in the next election. Anybody who says they are a Christian, and that homosexuality is not an abomination in God's eyes is a liar, you are not a Christian.

I was responding to another FReeper with my comment.

In my world I choose to live in God has something to do with everything. He makes the rules and I try my best to adhere to them and when I fall,as I often do, he picks me up. I could not have made it through some tough times without him. My life is better because of him, I have hope for my future because of him. Am I perfect? no, only he is. Am I better than you or anyone else because of my faith? No,he loves all of us equally. Am I a sinner and need his forgiveness? Yes

You may disagree with me and I am certainly not here to preach to you I was just answering your question.

take care and God bless

Question: Have W and any other past candidates ever been asked this question and how did they answer? I just wondered.

Somebody tried to put Bush on the spot for this in the past presidential debates. He was matter-of-fact about it being a free country where people could love whom they want; but that marriage is a special institution that he beleives is between a man and a woman. So he sidestepped the framing of the question in terms of labeling morality, but that's probably the most pragmatic and centrist thing he could have done.

I don't agree at all with homosexual marriage, but I do think the matter cannot be decided definitively any more than the abortion question could by one group or another getting a Federal law passed. It is a matter of the populace no longer demanding or caring to have representation on key issues. If the matter were put to a vote, it would fail. But people have to vote for federalists and Constitutional originalists in order to preserve the system and have the matter put to a vote, or to demand impeachment of judges who are out of line in imposing their secular morality, and so far, it's taking awhile for the importance of this issue to sink in.

Oh, that's right, he claims he's not a Muslim any more!

Which would make him an apostate muslim which would require any muslim to kill him if he doesn't repent and return to Islam. I thought the left was concerned about not offending the muslim street? Now they want to elect a candidate that will cause 1.3 BILLION people to have to kill him.

Muslim, shmuzlim, what does this declaration matter? The democrat party embraces degeneracy for the votes. We all know that, so what's all this fuss when these "D" politicians proclaim it? Democrats only pretend to believe in God. You can tell they and too many of their supporters don't really believe by the way they defend the indefensible and turn good and evil on their heads for empowerment.

Please provide a link to Rudy saying homosexuality is not immoral. And none of that "actions speak louder than words" stuff. You said Rudy agrees, so back it up.

Thank you.

Please provide a link to Rudy saying homosexuality is not immoral.

Rudy went FURTHER than stating homosexual isn't immoral, he has stated that homosexuality is "good and normal." Source: Ray Kerrison New York Post, July 7, 1989

Rudy marched in EVERY single gay pride parade as mayor of New York, including that featured NAMBLA.

I'd like to ask these two what they do think is immoral. . . not buying carbon credits? Isn't that, just like homosexuality, fooling 'Mother Nature?'

They'll probably tell you they are not judgmental, and therefore anything goes...unless you happen to be a conservative who stands by his or her convictions of course.

From CNSNEWS.COM

Clinton told Bloomberg News. "I do not think homosexuality is immoral."

Obama released a statement on the issue. "I do not agree with General Pace that homosexuality is immoral,"

Sorry guys, its not up to you to decide what's moral and whats immoral, regardless of what you think.
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
-1 Corinthians 6:9-11
As far as I'm concerned, those are the rules. There is hope for homosexuals if they repent of their ways just as there is hope for all of the unrighteous who are among that list of sinners, as was I.

Now that didn't take long, did it?

So are you now prepared to admit Rudy is of the same mind on this issue as the two top 'RAT candidates?
