Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for today’s activites.

DC Metroland weather report ~ Today.....Periods of rain. Rain may be heavy late. High 41F. Winds NNE at 10 to 20 mph. 1 to 2 inches of rain expected. ~ Tonight.....Cloudy with rain and snow this evening. Remaining cloudy overnight. Low 28F. Winds NNW at 15 to 25 mph.

Not happy news....except that starting Monday temps will be making an upward turn so that we'll be back to some spring weather.

Guess today will be a good day to post recipes. I'm sure there's some recipes made just for St. Pat's Day. Stay tuned.

Time for me to make my rounds. But, you stay right where you are. Don't touch that dial. Don't change that channel. Put down that remote. Don't leave the room. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!

No parades for me. I'll be in Rye, NY at a science fiction convention -- if I can get through the snow! I was planning on traveling light because I was going by trains, but that isn't happening now.

I don't mind missing the parade, though, I've marched in enough of them. One time I even marched right behind the mayor of Sligo County up Fifth Avenue!
