As for any comparison to Lincoln, it was a different age. NYC isn't subject to gerrymandering either.

You have me confused with another poster.

I don't live in NY and I don't support liberal NY politics. That's the short and long of it.

Free Republic can be a bit raucous at times, especially when the traditional conservative principles and ideals (such as those espoused by your terrific Dad) collide with the shrill and ill-advised calls of those who would compromise those principles in the name of expediency and the flawed belief that a RINO (Republican In Name Only) is our Party's best bet to retain control of the White House.

In other words, those who say we should fight moral fire with gasoline Islam and Marxism with Cultural Marxism.

Welcome to Free Republic. I hope your father does well. Never mind the few undesirables who post here. The vast majority of FReepers are very nice, conservative people. We just have a few keyboard warriors who wouldn't have the courage to say what they post to your face. Dont pay them any mind and please remember all of your posts will be monitored by the left.

If there is anything you need FReepers to do to help your fathers campaign, please do not hesitate to ask.

"NO (MAYOR OF NYC) HAS EVER BEEN ELECTED TO ANYTHING HIGHER THAN (THAT POSITION)."

The state of the art of voter manipulation and voter fraud has never been higher either. En garde. Caveat Voter.

Just wondering -- I understand that normally when someone signs up at FR, they automatically get a home page, blank, but it's there.

When I put in "Duncan Hunter Ambassador" in the same format as one uses to see FReeper's home pages (with or without space):

http://www.freerepublic.com/~duncanhunterambassador/

I get:
The requested document does not exist on this server.

Okay

What gives?

When I enter your SN the same way, I do get your home page:

http://www.freerepublic.com/~ultrasonic007/

Name identification is a challenge and the answer is hard work.

..be encouraged

At present, the so-called "front-runners"--name recognition is ALL they have going for them.

Congressman Hunter has the ISSUES--in time his name will be identified with being right and having the answers for the future of the nation...

When I did, I found that his SN in the URL of his home page is abbreviated:
